Notice something weird? All the DW TF gen1 comic book character had after gracing the pages, made an appearance as a reissue! Either Takara or Hasbro version. Take Prowl, Jazz, Skids, Inferno, Sideswipe, Optimus, Ultra Magnus, Inferno, Red Alert, Hotrod, the Mini bots....! Maybe we shouldn't look far to determine which character gets re-issued, just look at DW, its covers and the comics!

That might have something to do with the fact that Takara keeps using Dreamwave art on the boxes. Maybe they base their decisions on that.
Gee. I really hope so. That would mean Predaking is coming...

Really? Predaking is one bulky monster! Heck. haven't transformed my unit for the last 10 years! What I wouldn't trade for a Superion.

Predaking fetches major bucks on ebay these days, mainly because he's larger, heavier, and more unique to combine than the other merge teams. You're lucky to get him under $200.
You can get Superion for about $60 these days.

Shax is there much difference between Jap and USA Predaking? I am new to the line and have enjoyed the reissues. Thanks!

Well in the US, Predaking originally had metal parts, but was later substituted with an all plastic version. The metal version is worth infinitely more. I'd guess the Japanese version probably has the metal parts, making it similarly valuable,

You could probably get more than that! Check some completed ebay auctions. Metal Predaking is one of the most sought after vintage TFs.

He's that much prized? I own one and I think he's BUTT UGLY! Same as the Malboro Wheeljack I got rid off recently. Only reason I bought Predaking as a set 'cause it was being thrown away at a flea market.

I'm not really a fan of it either, but I just checked some ebay listings and there's one going for $150 with several days left that isn't even metal. There's one with a BIN of $700.
Really, I think the attraction is that Predaking is bigger and heavier than the other combiners, and is a lot less generic than the others, which all combine in exactly the same way. Predaking looks formidable in combined mode too, regardless of how bad the other modes are.
I'd never pay hundreds for Predaking, but I think he'd be a nice item to have.

I felt the same way Fenrir! My son and I have really enjoyed the 2000 Takara line. He really enjoys the fortress Maximus! Hey Shax when I look at your picture id, from a distance, it looks like Judge Dredd! I just now realized it was a bunch of robots! ;D
