CONSIDERABLY bigger. The ground type is fairly petite for a 0079-0083 UC Gundam, to boot. EDIT: Here's a comparison with the RX-78, which is about the same size as the Ground Type. The Sinanju is also a lot more complex as far as its internal structure goes. A LOT more parts.

Slightly OT note but also sort of related... I notice that a lot of companies produce kits (and other figures) using scales to simply denote a rough estimate of the figure's size. For Bandai's kits, they standardized 1/144 (the smallest 4-inch scale kits), the 1/100 (the roughly 8-inch scale kits), and the 1/60 scale (just over a foot tall figures)...
But what's really cool about Bandai is that they stick with the real scale for most of their Gundam line... if a mobile suit is indeed bigger, then their kit will be similarly larger if it stays at the same scale. This is particularly true of the MG kits because you can open the cockpit of your RX-79(G) and see the pilot... the same size pilot figure will be sitting inside the 1/100 Sinanju.
That's cool because as we know, mobile suits come in a wide variety of sizes - from Psycho Gundam (I doubt we'll see a scale kit of that but you never know) down to the tiny Victory Gundam.

As I have just finished my first kit, I have a question about the Titanium finish. Presumably, this edition doesn't need to be painted to look good. But what about removing the parts from the runner? Are there going to be white marks from the compression and, if so, can they be removed by sanding the spot?

Yes there nubs on parts but sanding will remove metalic paint you will need to touch up

Usually it will tell you what colors you need and what ratio to mix them if needed however it will be in Japanese of course

And you'll probably need a paintbrush and paintbrush skills. As I thought, not for my skill level. Thanks for the info anyway.

Well paintbrush maybe, skills? Not so much as yo will only need to simply dot it here and there surely you are capable of that much
the hardest part would be getting the mixture as close as possible because you will never get exact obviously

There's a fairly recent HGUC 1/144 model of the Psyco Gundam Mk 1 released not too long ago, I believe around 2006 - 2007.
