I've heard in the past that they are pretty good, much better than the Gardian or Godmars versions. I've been watching these forever. However, I just couldn't personally bring myself to paying $100 or more for this bootleg. If ever I saw it for $60 to $80, I'd probably pursue it. However, with the price of the real deal still ridiculously high, this is looking better and better as an alternative. A loose Godsigma just sold for over $70. Boxed ones are $250 plus.

Don't waste your time and money with the KO, it's not very good quality and the paint job is awful. Save yourself the frustration and save up for the Godaikin. IMO one of the main reasons to collect these toys is to appreciate the detail and intricacy of their construction, so if you're not going to go for the real deal then I don't see why you should bother at all.
It's not a question of box art, or just "knowing it's real". There is a huge difference in the quality. They aren't your typical reissues, like you get with transformers and valkyries. These are cheapo knock offs.
Ahem, off my soapbox. I just wish someone had told me "like it was" 13 years ago when I bought mine.

I'm surprised to hear this. I had heard good things about it. Oh well. Money saved (unless I decide to pursue the real deal).

personally, i feel that its a good buy only if it comes cheap.
i have seen the bootleg in the flesh, pretty decent built but the give aways signs are pretty much the same as other bootlegs eg paint smudges, overly bright colours, overly shiny chrome parts and weapon accessories (feels unreal), less details etc...but yeah, its much better than its godmarz KO counterpart, which i also happen to catch a glimsp
to be honest, i wont mind owning one but will not pay anything more than 80USD for it just so that i can play around with it without the fear of breaking it.

I'll provide a contrary POV.
I like 'em.
I have all of them - the godbot and godtron (Godsigma and God Marz) are the better of the bunch - the only one I would really *avoid* is the Lionbot beacuse the mold is used and abused - and you can get a pretty nice Matchbox version for less money.
Here's the thing - they aren't perfect, but they are pretty close. Die Cast content is good, the accessories all work and the chrome is decent. There is a lot to like here. You can play with the toys without fear of damaging a rare piece, and sitting on your desk they look just as respectable and cool as the originals with 0 risk.
I have the originals and I still like to bust these guys out now and again when I get the itch. If anything happens to them - oh well.
Contact the seller and see if you can do a deal off ebay to save some $$. I did a deal a year or two ago for all three at once and saved a bunch.
It would be pretty hard to find complete, loose versions of GodMars or GodSigma for $100 shipped. If you could that would ABSOLUTELY be the way to go. Otherwise, if you're mildly interested in them and you keep your expectations in check, I think you'll like it.
