Kamen Rider Kiva is yet another rider in the long line of Kamen riders. Never seen the show but apparently Kiva stands for "King of Vampire" lol so he's based off of a vampire and his motif is based on Halloween actually. if you want to know more about him look here. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamen_Rider_Kiva_%28character%29#Emperor_FormAgain SIC has out done themselves with detail. Accessories Kiva doesn't come with a lot of cool weapons or anything since this form really relies on hand to hand combat (would of been nice if they offered his other weapons he uses in different forms, oh well) so we get two different belt buckles and a large Kivat (actually all the belt buckles are Kivat) He also has a set of 6 Fuestles which grant Kiva different weapons and abilities He also comes with his "Bloody Rose" the ultimate violin (forgot to take picture of that). Highly detailed for a small toy violin but I had no use for it The Fuestles can be inserted into Kivat's mouth just like in the show. Gimmicks Well Kiva only has one actually, "Hell's Gate." Hells gate is when Kiva's right leg opens up. This is done by removing the chains and diecast armor that lock away the destructive power of this right leg lol. This enables Kiva to perform his final attack "Darkness Moon Break". Which of course, is a flying kick lol. BTW Kiva has quite a bit of diecast content. I think he has the most diecast of any sic figure (Tagia may be a contender though with his huge metal claws). Diecast is present in the knee caps, shoulder armor, wrist bands, one belt buckle, and his left leg armor. he is also covered in metal chains called "Catena Chains" as well. Now for some more pics. Next we have Kiva's final form "Emperor Kiva." This is a Tamashii web shop limited item, therefore rare and expensive, but man is it a beaut! This form come with many of the same accessories but with the edition of the Zavat Sword and Zanvat-Bat (hilt) which i removed because i liked the sword in its natural form. He also comes with a small dragon too lazy to find the name. Emperor Kiva is just awesome to look at, but he has little diecast compared to his lesser form. Only diecast I could fine were his feet. Also, his armor restricts more movement then Kiva obviously, but you can still get him into some interesting positions. So both figures are very awesome but one is a lot cheaper and easier to get (and you can find it on sale at a few places now) then the other. That and the fact that Dark Emperor Kiva (which is essentially the same figure as emperor but different colors and slightly different head) is going to be released alongside Ixia at normal price, may make you reconsider getting Emperor, which of course I found out after I placed my order for it........... oh well, he's still awesome.

I don't really have a thing for Kamen riders or the SIC line in general, but that Emperor Kiva form is seriously making me reconsider.

80 when it was first release, now it will cost much more since you cant order it through the web shop anymore. He would have to locate it at actual shops. So your looking at at least 100 before shipping. You wont fair much better on YJA (especially with proxy fees added on) either but you never know. if you dont mind him not being black and the different head you can wait for the Dark emperor kiva........ much more cheaper

I would spring for dark emperor Kiva if the head was the same as the normal one, but I'm not diggin the Dark's head sculpt. I'll check my local hut for Japanese toys first (Frank and Sons here in So Cal.) and see if any of the sellers still have this guy. If not I'm off to ask Tokyohunter. How is his service btw? I never used him or a middleman service ever before.

Yeah TokyoHunter is a very good source if you're willing to add extra expenses (it's personal service after all). I'm actually getting the 4-pack Oni to be released this March. Already got some nice limited items from him too.
