This is a current project I'm working on. Sorry that it's really only a teaser image, but there is still a lot of tuning to be done. I just did this quick render to get an idea of how the illuminated parts would come out, so I thought I would throw it up here while I'm at it.

Now THAT is a mighty fine CG artwork there. I like the detail and textures, too. I can imagine that mecha being animated in a movie and a videogame. Great job there, keep it up! zozo-magengar

Thanks guys. Glad you noticed the textures Magengar! I've come to loathe laying out texture maps, but they pay off in such a big way. Animating him will be an interesting task. I've never animated a quadruped before and I'm told it's a tough process to get it right. One thing I didn't include in this pic is his gun. He's got a really cool gun that I'll put into the next pic.

I hear ya. I have enough trouble animating biped mechs and keeping their gravity effect consistent with their walking movements, or else they'll look like they're "moonwalking" across the ground. ;D
I've never animated quadrupeds; I think I'll try it someday soon.

Hey Magengar, what software platform do you use? Just curious how your experience has been with learning 3D. If it's been anything like mine, it's quite a rough process but a lot of fun too.
