I've often been curious about that; but I never thought anyone would actually do that with a toothbrush. The nice thing about this project is that you can also use other toothbrush colors (as long as they are Transparent like this one) to get that translucent "laser" effect. I'd like to see anyone take this a step further and install an LED light inside it. Damn, stuff like this is cool with them old clear plastic Bic pen tubes, as well! ...LOL! This is great for Revoltech figs, too! zozo-magengar

Yeah, locked up passing the time away, I can understand... them inmates gotta find something to do, so they make stuff (not necessarily "weapons"; some of them folks get really creative and make crafty stuff). As for this Toothbrush thingy, it's amazing how many discarded household items could possibly be recycled into custom parts for toys- especially in This hobby. zozo-Magengar

Hey, I had just found a broken-off butt-end of a clear ruby-red acrylic hairbrush (the HANDLE). One side is flat, the backside is an indented bevel. The handle is shaped like a long "parabolic" (tapered) rectangular cube, resembling the bottom stem of a celtic cross... ...I'll drill a hole through it and make it into a "medallion" with wooden beads around it on a boot lace, like a Buddhist necklace, and carve my name on the handle in Japanese (To Ni) with the kanji painted black. Will post pics when done.
Last night I made a beaded necklace with an old Grendizer chogokin head knockoff. Will post pics of it later or tomorrow. The cool things one can do with chogokin heads beside custom robots! ;D

Cool cant wait to see it. But on a serious note this tooth brush customizing really gives me alot of ideas. I have a Yamato Great Dangaioh that has these two corny looking beams for the arms that would look great with this idea.

Man, the weather is AWESOME this weekend!
I went out for a walk early this morning, and an idea occurred to me: Custom-made extra Arrows for my MC Raideen model... ...you know them plastic coffee stirrers which they have at McDonalds? The ones with the square tips at the ends (some of them are either Black, or White). File the tips into Arrowhead shapes and sand off the molded McD's logo from the faces of the tips... Bingo! God Arrows! ;D
And of course, the arrow bodies are round (cylindrical), no problem: cut the arrowheads off the stirrer (leave enough slack from the stirrer to the arrowhead) and stick them through the open ends of a straw-type skinny stirrer (them popular ol' red stirrers) so they'll look designed like real arrows, and paint 'em silver.
Damn, I gotta steal me a buncha stirrers from McD's todayyy! ;D

See! ;D String: non-elastic old workboot string. Beads: Dark-navy blue, Clear acrylic, and other colors. Head: from my knockoff Grendizer (aka "Gungan") little chogokin. I couldn't unscrew the head apart, so I carefully drilled a pinhole through the top of it. Then I dabbed some Krazy-Glue into the pinhole, and screwed a small brass eye-hook into the pinhole and squeezed the hook closed with pliers. There's still room to add more beads onto the boot string at both sides of the head. Now Gungan's all strung up. ;D I haven't started on the hairbrush handle necklace yet; I'm still shopping around for decent "Buddha-sized" wooden beads. ;D zozo-Magengar Can't wait to see the necklaces!

Welcome to page 2. ;D "Headhunter" LOL! That's the fate of old chogokin parts, especially the heads. ;D I initially wanted to wear it as a "bolo tie", but that would've been Two too many holes to drill and the head would've been mutilated out of its perfect "Grendizer" shape. Ya just gotta be careful how you handle the head so it doesn't break... It's made with plastic halves (front and rear) held together by a small screw in the back of the head. The screw's "phillips" slot was stripped and rusty, so I went with the "lobotomy" proceedure as described in my previous post. I have a Great Mazinger chogokin head stashed away somewhere deep in my bag of cheapo toy parts... I'll use the Great Maz head on Gungan's old body and make a custom chogokin "Great Maz". (That's a project for a later time) zozo-Magengar Head hunter! That looks cool, dude!

My Grendy head necklace... The other one (the red thingy) is my "buddha bead" necklace-- the red thing is a hairbrush handle onto which I will carve my name (or Mazinger-Z's name) onto it in black paint. ;D zozo-Magengar

Magengar, you know this site is heavily trafficked by ladies searching for strapping, virile robot lovers whom they will stalk and capture for their forbidden pleasures. Obviously by your picture and taste in robot attire women must flock to you, so just keep this warning in mind and look out for shady women parked outside your place possibly offering SOCs or Godaikins if you will get in their car.
