" Unyielding resolve has no Conqueror" Does that quote say bad@ass or what? Wished I had the G1 version(couldn't afford it back in the 80's so NOW..........I just bought the Energon version! What can I say, he is one BIG bruiser.............nearly as tall as Unicron , smooth molding, no yucky yellow from the enrgon Prime drill machine. battery operated sound effects plasma blaster, working extendable claw arm. Transforms into three modes.....Space Cruiser "Yamato" mode ( with the bow looking like the Prometheus from Macross), turn the dial on his gun batteries to elicit another sound effect barrage. The head part detaches into a headmaster pilot who looks like a mini version of the G1 Omega except he's got hands! You can connect him to the bridge to create a fishbowl-like cockpit similar to the SDF-1. Also, the default head is a dead-ringer for the G1 anime with the absence of the laser canon at the back of his head. He also splits into a massive construction crane vehicle with an extending claw arm. IMHO, I'd call Omega a hybrid headmaster duocon due to the mix matching of his transform mode. Connect the two vehicles to form a super armored space train. As a whole a kick@ss warrior ytou wouldn't want to face with his plasma cannon pointed at you! Now the down side..........minute, but hey......I'm a picky one, the paint job on the crane cockpit was removed unlike the photo on the box, also, the cruiser tower lacks the white or is it aluminum painting as the box.....very minor indeed. I only hope the Takara version won't change that much! The bone I have to pick is the INSTRUCTION MANUAL................................ALL BUT USELESS!!! It took me an hour to figure out where the fire button is for his plasma blaster and at his cruiser mode, to activate the second sound effect. Also, his powerlinking with Prime seems to be an afterthought to get people to buy him ( also which the manual omits the need to open the back panel in order to insert Primes' cab.) Prime's head is too small for this Linkup,...a bit out of place! This is by no means BASHING this magnificent warrior who evokes fond memories of his decepticon busting days of the G1 cartoon....sure hope he lives up to the legacy in the energon version. For all you TF fans out there, buy it, you'll truely enjoy it ( just find a bigger display case to fit him in...........really big.
