Good eye, Ed. One never knows unless it's researched. I don't see why anyone would wanna get a Patent for a custom toy, it doesn't make sense. If the toy were of one's own ORIGINAL design, then Yes please DO get a Patent. But not for a Custom toy.
In my opinion, I've always believed a custom toy is just a "tribute" rendition of the real thing, which had been modified from some other toy or made from Sculpey and other raw materials... ...therefore, I'd never apply to get a patent for my custom "Koji Kabuto" which I modified from a PowerRanger figure; the Koji character is already owned by Go Nagai, and the PowerRanger has its owner and copyright protection.
Furthermore, if I were to promote something like that, I'd use a professional business titlename as my domain name, so that it will represent the product I'm promoting; not some mysterious name like that one there.
(Damn, I've watched to many Hardy Boys back in the day) ;D
Edit: I had just checked the link. It's an attorney/law firm. Ok, seems fine I guess. I'm not trying to "police" the place; I'm just weary of any spam appearing in the forum, that's all.

Please accept my apology for mis-judging you, man. I'm not a moderator and I'm in no type of administrative position in this forum... ...I rarely see posted threads like this one, and I acted panicky about it. My bad.

What are the links you posted? Are those supposed to be items that infringe on others ideas? I know the Nova Prime was taken from a comic creation. Please explain why you post the links when you post them, please.
I have a lot of character designs, and a toy designer I met mentioned one simple way to protect your work is build a book with you designs in it and copyright that book. The characters and designs in it will be protected. I have a lot of art and designs I keep private until I feel they are safely protected.

I created some new pieces by changing old ones. To these I ask the copyright? If so, how do I do? Also I'm Italian, not American.

Oh man, these are great! Love the King Dam one. However, its obvious these patents don't mean much, considering how often this toy was bootlegged.
