Wouldn't surprise me if Mazinkaiser SOC was announced in the next few months. All Bandai is doing is repeating what they did with the old Godaikins and Chogokin figures, having a more expensive DX line while the SRC's are the new ST line. I have to admit, I'm confused. Bandai makes the SRC right? Isn't it more or less the same scale as the Bandai SOC Mazinger, Great Mazinger. etc.? If so, how would a SOC Mazinkaiser differ from the SRC Mazinkaiser? By the way; has anyone posted this yet-?-- SRC is way smaller than SOC. The SRC SKL is small too.

Gotcha; thanks gt3ian. Even though I like the look of the SRC SKL, I'm going to hold out in the hopes that a SOC version comes out. And until then, the Aoshima/Miracle House will remain my "Main" version of the robot.

Well, them three SRC Mazzies look good together. Cool! My man "SKeLly the AmBIGuous Barbarian" there looks slightly taller than his other two mild-mannered Maz brothas, yet still in scale within the SRC range. I think I'd like to add him to my SRC wishlist with the other two.

That's to simulate the "ball joint" design of the original Mazinkaiser. Next time you watch that series, look at his thigh joints. It's his armor design, but it's also the artist's design concept for that robot character. Now, as for why it looks like the same ball joint used in the GX-45: My guess is that it would enhance SKL's dynamic poseability... as you can see in the trailer, he seems quite more agile than all the previous Mazinger robots. zozo-Magengar why is there a ball joint on the upper thighs on SKL just like the gx 45 mazinger z

Hello everyone, this is my first post here... I'm mostly into Mazinger, and I'm excited to talk about all things super robots with you guys!!
Anyway, I'm really excited about the SKL figure, but it's a bummer it won't be in scale with the regular Chogokins... still, looks like it'll be a kick-ass figure. I just hope it's somewhat easier and cheaper to get than what I've seen so far...

I meant for the Mazinkaizer SKL one! I've found good deals and not so good deals through out the years... The worst was when I purchased an over-priced Aphrodite A, just days before a re-release was announced!!

Yeah that Mazinkaiser is small, that pic is it standing in the middle of the SRC Mazinger a Great Mazinger so compared to SOC's it'll be tiny. It's just the price to pay when Bandai wants this line in the roughly 14cm height requirement so things tend to be out of "scale" even with-in the line. Great Mazinger should be a tad bit taller than it is now with the same going for Mazinkaiser.

Yes, Great Mazinger should've been a little taller and more beefier than what it is. The same applies to the Mazinkaiser SKL. However, Bandai also made the SOC Great Mazinger's head and arms too small/skinny in comparison to the SOC Mazinger Z. So, it might be the way they "see" Great Mazinger and therefore it's scale is perfectly fine to them. That's why the SRC's where made the same way...

Once again, I really dig the look of SKL, but I'm kind of a scale-freak: I want my bots to be in scale with each other, at least if they're from the same universe. If I were to get SRC Skull, I'd eventually want to have SRC Mazinger Z. If I had SRC SKL & Mazinger Z, I'd eventually want an SRC Great Mazinger... It's a freakin' slippery slope! I'm not ready to start collecting a whole new line of Die Cast bots. And I HOPE that's not what Bandai is aiming for...
So; what do you guys think the likelihood of us getting an SOC Mazinkaiser SKL really are?

each of the mazin in SRC are a little bit tall to one another but the difference is silly, i was hoping a big difference like this. but i see why they don't exactly want them to be accurate size, Mazinger Z will be so tiny he will be over shadow by his 2 taller brothers. although they could make them a difference of size like this which it would be much better. I know mazinkaiser should be tall, but for now we are forgetting that skl is another rendition just like mazinger z that he is suppose to be an 18m tall robot but on shin mazinger zero he is 30m tall. so we cant be to sure how tall Skl is in the anime. for all we could know he could be just as the same size of Great mazinger.

Check the price of GX-01R+, it is sky high .......

I have to admit one thing: I'll like this Kaiser SKL roughly better than my revoltech Mazinkaiser........ my revo Kaiser looks "Mal-nourished" standing next to my "Beefy" revo #36 Change Getter 1! (I'm lookin at 'em Both Right NOW on my dresser. LOL)
I don't mean to bring revoltechs into this topic, but Damn- This Mazinkaiser SKL sculpt Really Really does look much more beefier than my revo' Kaiser! ;D

That's the thing with Super Robots, your never gonna have a line that represents the actual "scale" these things are listed at because they vary so much from 18m all the way to over 200m. It's easier for Real Mecha like Gundams and Macross since they mostly range in the 18-25m height because really anything bigger then that and it would just be too large and heavy to even move and control. But seriously do you think Bandai would just release one figure of a highly anticipated Anime and have it a web exclusive? This is just the start it'll just take time since the show doesn't even air for awhile.

Yeah, it's crappy, but here's the kicker for the ones that haven't gotten both Mazingers yet... only Mazinger Z comes with it! Great Mazinger comes with zero stand. }/
