Altie looks definitely Awesome there, great job Bandai!
Dude... I really Do HOPE that Alteisen isn't displayed on a shelf above your bed... he looks Seriously DANGEROUS with that spike...
Altie + Spike + shelf above your bed + you asleep down there at night + a bump in the dark + a scream at 3:20am + lights flickering + stretcher + man on the floor = the hideously unimaginable. Bro, the equation seems crucial. Excrutiating, at best.
we'd hate to see you in a new avatar with one hand desparately tryin to hide a bigazzed gash in yer forehead. ;D

;D LOL! Yeah!
I'll have to watch the series... that spike thing has me curious as to how the Alteisen was built and what kind of mecha he is. It reminds me of a bolt-thrower or a nailgun. The spike itself looks like it was cast from a large nail, the point itself has four edges. ;D

It would be the greatest thing ever if Bandai puts a Gespenst MkII or MkII Custom in this line. Then I'll fulfill my dream of owning high quality toys of my top five mech designs (Alteisen, Weissritter, Gespenset MkII, Patlabor Ingram, Gunbuster) . The Gespenst sadly is a grunt unit, so it's unlikely, but ... if the SRW anime really takes off, maybe there's a chance that a MkII Custom gets made considering it's the main robot of a fairly significant character in the show.... You are not the only fan of Gespenst. But rather than liking the MkII, the original MKI black Gespenst is among my favorite. Rather than being a grunt unit, its THE unit I pilot myself when playing SRW4, and has stats of a super robot to boot! Which is the version of Dengeki Figure I end up collecting. Gaming Nostagia But for a worthy update, the Gespenst RV is very awesome. If I remember correctly, it is the custom upgrade of the same black MKI unit, now piloted by Gilliam. Imagine we get a SRC Gespenst RV! ;D LOL! Yeah! I'll have to watch the series... that spike thing has me curious as to how the Alteisen was built and what kind of mecha he is. So pretty much its a melee weapon. But his special move is fire all six rounds, causing maximum damage. If you have watch the Godannar anime, it works similar to Godannar's finishing move "Heart Breaker". They both have the revolver cylinder arm thingy going on.

Spreading some Gespenst love. ;D Here is the Gespenst that started it all. While the design is sort of the 'GM in Gundam shows' of the SRW universe, Dengeki's sculpt did an awesome job on having some very cool curves & sweeping body line on the figure, which looks better than the line art design. Alteisen & Weissbriter are both customized versions of a Gespenst MK III. But don't think the games or the anime ever showed the design of a pure stock version of a MK III. I have not open my SRC Alteisen yet, so just using my Unifive Alt at work as the background/size comparison. The Dengeki Hobby Gespenst match up very well in height (again, a hair shorter), but you can see the Unifive Alt has a lot more bulk on the chest, shoulders, has larger fists, and overall feels bigger. But its when placing the Unifive Alt among skinnier Dengeki figures like the Huckebeins that makes him look off. Also, the Unifive Huckebein MK II is quite a bit larger than the Dengeki counterpart. So I can see the SRC ALt will fit in better with the Dengeki figure collection, if you have one going on. Unifive's are in 1/144 supposingly, while the Dengeki Gespenst & Huckebeins fall into something like 1/160~ish. But not all Dengeki figures follow this scale, especially the super robots.

I want one of those Dengeki Gespensts something fierce . I could have sworn I saw a red one once - I have a second Kotobukiya Gespenst kit that I bought with the intention of painting Red so I could have my Octo team, but I've never been able to muster the will or desire to repaint the whole thing red...

Yeah, there is a red one, piloted by a tomboy short hair blonde girl (Katrina I think) with different color eyes. The red, like most of the other color variants, is a MKII, looks identical to the blue one you posted, but in red. That one I believe appeared in the Anime 'Divine Wars' as well, but wasn't a main spotlight unit.
Oh, and there are a good selection of Dengeki SRW figures on ebay right now with decent price, almost close to retail. Again, these figures are great to look at, but not the best to play (some joints are not that strong supporting its weight, and need the stand sometimes for balance), and its all PVC with plastic joints with not very good articulation. So regardless, they are overpriced. Only for diehard SRW fans that really dig certain designs.

Oh, I know that there's a red Gespenst in the canon, that's why I want a toy/model version to go with my Russel custom blue Gespenst (Her name is Katina) I just remember seeing a Red Dengeki Hobby Gespenst once, and only once, on YJA. I wish I had got it then...

Yeah, I think I saw that red figure too, but only once in a very long while. It could be an exclusive (of an exclusive line LOL).

In addition to what we see in the image, I would really love to see a belly missile gimmick for Z and a collapsed scramble dash for Great Mazinger! Wouldn't it be cool?

WWRJ Newsbreak:A northeast US toy distribution warehouse was burglarized last night by a band of human skeletons. Among high-valued items stolen were the pre-ordered SRC Mazinger Weapons Accessory Servicepack II. Eye-witnesses at the scene could not get an accurate description of the burglars because "they all looked the same". One eye-witness who remained anonymous stated that the skeletons looked peculiar and "they were very short for their height- but they moved rather quickly". There were no injuries nor casualties reported at the scene of the crime. The owner of the facility could not be reached for comment. An investigation is being conducted by local authorities. News at Eleven...;D zozo-Magengar Any word on the Mazinger Weapons Pack #2 yet? It seems to have fallen under the radar in all websites... }/

Wow, just found out they showed a brand new Gespenst mech in the new SRW anime episode 7! Piloted by Kyosuke, with the same red paint job of Alteisen, horn, and spike on right arm. But the body line and head design is very similar to a normal Gespenst. Could this be the stock Gespenst MK III that finally makes its debut?! Or even make its appearance in the SRC line in the near future? Very interesting.
And to top it off, Kyosuke performed the super move "Gespenst Kick!!!" with the super robot style shout! LOL. Its a big tribute to the videogame, and awesome to see Kyosuke going nuts shouting the move and break his cool. ;D
I really hope that SRC line will be Bandai's ongoing take on taking over the SRW designs. Its about time a mainstream toyline to take over and release the cool mechs in the franchise, with good engineering and diecast content (affordable too). With the new anime show looking quite good (much better made than the previous season), it may get popular enough to bring us more delicious SRW mechs in this line. Fingers crossed.

no word about the SRC weapons packs II .. same as the SRC photon lab Okay, I'll keep searching then. I wonder if Bandai is going to bring us more good old Super Robots in the likes of UFO Robot Grendizer, Getta Robo (plus G, Go, and Shin), Koutetsu Jeeg, Gaiking, Gakeen, Dai Apolon, Danguard Ace, Daimos, Govarian, God Mazinger, etc, etc, etc... Of course, I also want to see Dai Guard, Dangaioh, Dancouga (plus Nova), Dairugger XV, and Golion make it to this line...! No Evas please!!! }D
