Thanks Niko, LOL, the backpack kinda fell out of the tray when I was opening the toy, I thought at first it was shipped disconnected intentionally, turns out it was just fluke (figured it out when I was returning the toy back into the tray, the backpack has to be attached to fit). I don't think the scale might work with the Banpresto Huckebein, the Alt's supposed to be taller (22 Meters vs 20 Meters), it's already taller than the Unifive Alt, so it will definitely be taller than the SRC Alt. Hmm... even with the Uni5 Alt, the Uni5/Banpresto Huckebein is noticeably out of scale... Guess we'll just have to weight for the SRC line to release in scale 'Beins (and its derivatives) figures.
Wonder if the composite Exbein is in scale though. Anyway, thanks Gold!

OMG OMFG! ;D zozo-Magengar Actually, I do not like these built-in spring launchers that much for robot action figures (except for some Batman, Terminator, etc... missile launchers when they are well-made)! These launchers make 'em seem like kids' toys to cheer up a child when they FIRE! They also keep me worried "for how long would they be working fine?"I remember my first missile launcher that came with Optimus Prime's (G1) mechanic robot with his trailer. It did not impress me that much back at the time. Now, I am not kidding, but everytime I put the Screw Crusher Punches for GX-04, I am always careful they are not facing my eyes...Who knows when those springs decide to act nasty on their own or maybe my finger tricks me, click 'n ... OUCH!I wish Bandai never add such mechanic thingys (as in SOC) or springs to the Super Robot Chogokin line. SRCs are fine the 'manual' way they are, with their nice accessories/gimmicks and cool poseablety!

If the Exbein is sized similarly to the previous Composite Lancelot, it should be Robot Damashii sized (and a little smaller than the SRC, since Alt is pretty big for the SRC line) - now as for whether it's going to be bigger or smaller than the Unifive, that's a tough call. I don't know if the Exbein is canonically the same size as the Huckebein, so maybe that'll be a whole 'nother can of worms, eheh.

Its getting very hard to get the SRW figures in scale. The real robots are a little off even if they are supposed to be in scale (for some only). And all the super robots are non-scale kits or figures. I think I just need to ease up on the scale thing, and just get whatever size they come with, as long as the figure is good.

That's certainly how I look at it. I wouldn't begrudge getting a SRW Angelg or a Valsion/e if it were the same size as Alteisen.

;D Ehm! Guys, you keep talkin' bout Mr. Alteisen but... who is he? I am sorry if I am an elder 1977 super robot, but I really don't know much about Alteisen! He's from the SRW series, right? But can I find any anime for him or can someone tell me any extra info about him (i.e. he is a leader of a super robot group or something)? He looks neat and like a bad@$$ but I would really appreciate if someone can tell me a lil' more about him Thanx!

Scale has never been an issue for me other than for pure curiosity sake. I'm just happy when my figures are bigger than five inches.

He is one of the iconic mech in the SRW games, and took a center role in this recent anime. Alteisen is actually not that new of a design. It first appeared in 1999 in SRW Compact on the WonderSwan black & white hand held system. Used to bring that with me to school and play during breaks between my college classes back then. And people had no clue what system or game I was playing, but they thought Alteisen's theme music was cool. ;D

At this point I almost could care less about Scale; I just wanna have a fine specimen that looks and functions really good- whether its vintage, retro, or modern. I don't mean to get all freaked out, but this time of year I'm feelin waxing nostalgic........ It's my 4th anniversay as an RJ member and it was at this time of the year when I joined and ammased a large collection in a matter of a few months, especially around this month... things were financially good for me during my first few months here and I had new specimens coming to me in the mail almost every other week. I'm at that stage again, though not as frequent as the first time. So, if you see me actin all flipped out crazy on the boards, it's just me gettin all nostalgic about the first time I joined RJ. ;D Thanks to All, and to All a Happy Holiday Season! zozo-Magengar

I'm not a SRW OG mecha fan, but with all this talk and comments about them I decided to give it a try. Just finished watching Divine Wars - a weekend marathon of 26 episodes. Good story. Was not too fond of the CGI, I prefer actual animation / cartoons when I'm watching anime. Wow! There are a buttload of characters and mecha in DW! Unfortunately for me, the Alteisen didn't do much in DW, which is one of the reasons why I was watching DW. I did learn one thing, that the Alteisen is actually a Gespenst! I would've never imagined...
Good Lord... the Cybaster IS indeed a Super Robot! Nothing in the entire series was a match for it. It's only weakness was the pilot himself, nothing more. Very cool! The rest of the SRW Mechas, with the exception of Gungrust Type-0 and Granzon, were not much more of a Super Robot than the Gundams are. Even the SRX was a little dissapointing, I expected more of what I thought was going to be the main mecha of DW. Next I'll be watching the new Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Inspector, which apparently is pretty good.
Regardless, DW was a very entertaining story. The last SRW OG anime I watched was the three part OVA Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Animation, but I was not very impressed with the storyline. I guess I need to find the Cybuster anime to find out more about SRW OG stuff.

Believe me, in the game, the SRX + R-Gun piloted by Viletta easily is the best boss killer in the game. Spamming "move again" and replenish, it's final attack can be fired twice each round. Even without forming the SRX, the SRX team has a special group attack which is quite damaging.
Cybuster is less powerful in the game than in the anime. His advantage is a map (Cyflash) attack that doesn't hit allies, but IMHO, the mech is no more useful than Excellen's Weissritter. With her long range, and the choice to use conventional or energy ammo, the Weissritter is much more versatile than the Cybuster. Kinda weak for melee attack tho, until you equip the Shishioh Blade.
I'm great that you really like the first series. I didn't like at first, but when the inspector starts broadcasting, I re-watched the first series and began to appreciate its values. The incident with Kusuha's health drink is hilarious ;D

Yeah. I don't like Divine Wars much, even though I am watching it now, just for the sake of watching it. But the storyline of Divine Wars is awesome. Very impressed by it when I first played SRWOG 1 on GBA. Just the animation execution is not up to par, and the CGI stuff took out a lot of dynamics that traditional animation could have had. I find myself enjoying the audio drama CDs more so than watching the show, so the visual is really hurting the story.
Glad that we have SRWOG: Inspector with much higher quality animation. Not to mention more kickass mechs will show up here. ;D
And yeah, Cybuster is more of a popular mech than a useful one. Its stats in the games are generally just average (unless you give it a lot of upgrades), but its design is very popular among fans, enough to have its own game (Masou Kishin - Lord of Elemental) and its own anime spin-off.

Hello, buddies! I hope I am not boring cuz it's probably the 1001 time you read a review about the SRC Mazingers ;D but please please please allow me to make a short one!
Well, the first thing you are gonna notice and LOVE about 'em, is that despite the 14 cms height, they are actually heavy!Be very careful with the hover pilder and the brain condor: fragile! Treat the Jet Scrander and Scramble Dash wings gently: fragile! The robots' articulation is awesome! Accessories are superb! Ha! Ha! I was a fool for a minute: when I saw 2 fists, in the Great Mazinger package, with the same shape! I was about to curse Bandai for this mistake, but then, remembered the Double Mazingers handshake thingy! D’oh! ;D Jet Scrander: I dislike that the belt (which I will repaint in white soon) is separated from the Scrander…but at least this should make the repainting easier I also hate the Japanese text on the bottom! Do you think I can remove the text with alcohol wetted cotton without messing with the yellow color? One more thing I might do...but I prefer to wait till Bandai release the 2nd Mazinger Weapons set; which is, I wanna engrave 3 vertical lines on Mazinger Z's belly (yes, the belly missile panel). The Styrofoam Diorama: LOL! Now, I understand why some of you, guys, dislike it! It feels cheap, but, really it looks good! Just my opinion! Overall, I am very HAPPY with the Super Robot Chogokin Mazingers! I dream of one Grendizer now I feel like my GX-04S is happy with the company! The Trio are on my shelf now. The only stupid thing is that I paid about $110 USD for the Mazinger Z + Great Mazinger + The Weapons Set + shipment form Japan; and I paid again today $173 USD for the Egyptian customs when I got the parcel by EMS! Can you believe that? I am now waiting for my Stage Act 5 stands to arrive from USA! I hope they won't charge me for $2,500,000 USD now. Seriously, a feast to the eye! Thank you, Bandai.

Nice pics. Surprisingly, SRC Great Mazinger (25m) & SOC Grendizer (30m) are almost in perfect scale. Though Mazinger Z has to be a lot smaller (18m).
But I suppose they look better when they are in similar size, rather than going scale accurate.
