According to BBTS (and they've never lied before that I know of), only 3000 Black Unicrons are being released in Japan as a VERY special item. I had a pair pre-ordered from a long time ago which are on the way...I don't know if these are the same as the US Black mold, or a different mold. On the BBTS web site, they look identical. I am hoping they are different for the price....

Judging by the other US transformers imported into Japan as "special items" I'm guessing the only difference between the US release and the "Special Item" Japan release will be a Japanese sticker somewhere on the front of the box (i.e. even the packaging will be the same)...........

I just wish they make them the same, it kinda sucks that we here in the US get the plastic versions and the Japanese get the diecast ones. No justice i tell you.....  |
