That original UFO KING GRENDIZER (because it is not a custom - there's no other figure like it anywhere on Earth) is just incredibly awesome! You truly are a master modeler!!! Yamaguchi sucks in comparison to you...

Main sculpture is done with Super Sculpey Firm, and then for the articulation its a mix of copied gears in resin and some that i created myself. I just received what i need for the final casting of this project althought im still a long way from that i just wanted to show you where im going with this. Btw thanks for all the comments there my fuel and keep me going in this project!

Its a low melting alloy, so in the end i will cast the robot in this pewter alloy its not diecast but its still metal ^^ and will feel very heavy just like our beloved soc robots.

Wow, this is going beyond anything I've ever seen in this hobby! Candayman's rockin with his Robocain custom, and here you are rockin this King Grendy custom. I'm NOT worthyyyy... you guys RULE! "Rotometals"... this is definitely something to see; the closest thing to an SOC-like custom figure. ROCK ON!!! zozo-Magengar

Heres an update to show the robot posability, shoulder are a bit of a problem here for scratching i had to limit a lot the movement but ill work on it a bit more, here is the sketch that started it all, at first it was to be all revo joint but i got a little carried away with all the new robots bandai made so i kinda changed my mind and went the bandai way. Especially at the pants the legs come out to have more flexibility and it makes all the difference. Anyway hope you like it!

Well i did a lot of work on him lately legs articulation are fully fonctionnal, now im starting to do the finishing on him as you can see the red primer shows everywhere i need to work on the finish, youl see that the soulder is much more smooth that because ive started on that piece its a long and boring process but it what separates from a nice piece to a great piece. once the finish is done on arms and legs i can then copy them to do the other side identical, it saves a lot of work with just minor modifications to do.

I love how it's turning out; and I love how smooth it looks under that red primer! That's also a good idea copying the limbs for the otherside... it saves LOTS of work, as long as they're identical on the front and back sides, then all ya gotta do is flip them over for the opposite side molds. (except when the Hands come up... it's hard to mirror the hands from one side to the other) Rock On! zozo-Magengar
