well my problem is if Hollywood does an UFO Grendizer movie that there just gonna altered completely and do a bayformers look on it not to mention altered the entire story.
so yea i prefer the fan made project movie over a possible Hollywood version, heck im still worry about the Mazinger Z movie there planing to make(hope it gets cancel) not to mention the Voltron movie as well (good god...).

A younger Tom Cruise, perhaps, as Duke Fleed! well my problem is if Hollywood does an UFO Grendizer movie that there just gonna altered completely and do a bayformers look on it not to mention altered the entire story. so yea i prefer the fan made project movie over a possible Hollywood version, heck im still worry about the Mazinger Z movie there planing to make(hope it gets cancel) not to mention the Voltron movie as well (good god...). Yes, you are right about Hollywood messing with original concepts but I just wish to see a big budget UFO Robo Grendizer film, with good script and professional actors! A story that's not only about some sci-fi UFO alien thingy and titan super robots, but also these emotional moments and high drama like it was in the anime series! Yet, again...it's unlikely to happen  What studios are working on the later movies you've mentioned please? |

the Grendizer fan project is made i believe by some Italians, which i find it really well done. from my understanding is suppose to be like episode 0 of th series.
as for Voltron, i totally forgot who is doing his movie lol XD.

I'd rather see a high quality animated movie from Japan than a Hollywood made live action movie. Live action movies ALWAYS have to have changes done just by the very nature of the medium but in a animated/cgi movie you can keep things the way they were meant plus you have an unlimited budget and can pretty much do whatever you want. It's like the Evangelion movies, they are very high quality animated films but could you imagine if Hollywood tried to turn that into a live action movie? You would need a budget of half a billion dollars or do everything on green screens and you'd have Justin Bieber as Shinji lol.

I am going to come right out and say it, I hate the whole cowboy thing they did with Grendizer. Amazing robot, and hands down THE BEST pilot uniform design, but I never felt the whole western thing happening. I think some changes would be welcome in a film. Since grew up watching these in Japanese with no subtitles I never really knew the story details so that is probably why continuity has never been a big deal. I am here because I dig Go Nagai mecha. Gaiking BTW is a tent pole film that will feature other mecha as well as begin a series of films that would introduce more Nagai creations (so expect Grendizer and Maz to follow). As for a HOT goth chick from space piloting Gaiking? WAAAAAY better than a baseball ball player or that annoying kid from the new show.

movies of our favorite characters... but I won't go there, or else I'll
go into tyrade mode and start bashin whatever comes to mind.
I feel a sh*t-fit building up inside...

Yes and also dancouga nova had a pilot girl, that is why they looked wrong when they showed the male type robot with a girl voice. I think it only looked ok in evangelion.

The one thing I despise the most, besides the name Tranzor Z, is the Spain voice-over for Koji Kabuto in the 1972 Mazinger Z anime. They used a woman to dub the voice of a young Koji, and when you're watching the actual Mazinger Z in action it sounds and looks HORRIBLE!!! Imagine Mazinkaiser with Bart Simpson's voice!!!
It doesn't look bad in Evangelion because they usually just focus on the pilot itself for the dialogue, while the use grunts and roars for the Evas in battle. Otherwise it would suck too.
I guess is just a matter on how you visualize the show...
