Hello, guys! Could you please confirm or correct this to me, regarding the actual heights of Go Nagai's Mazinger Canon?- Mazinger Z [18 meters] × 20 tons
- Great Mazinger [25 meters] × 32 tons | OVA [20.5 meters]
- Grendizer [30 meters] × 280 tons
- God Mazinger [30 meters] × 370 tons
- Mazinkaiser [23 meters] × 39 tons
- Mazinkaizer SKL (unknown)
Thanks!

Yep, Maz-Z is 18 meters (59ft.); Great Maz is 25meters; I was never sure about Grendizer, but the data seems correct. Mazinkaiser is obviously taller than Maz and Great Maz, so, Yes, the kaiser is about 28-30meters tall.
I'll wing a wild guess that Kaiser SKL is the tallest maz in the maz robot line thus far. ;D (when typing in a hurry, I'm too lazy to write out their full names. LOL)

Thank you for the reply! Well, I am pretty sure Dizer is 30 meters tall On Wikipedia it says Mazinkaiser's height in the OVA is 23 and 28 in the SRW... LOL! Noway! In the OVA's Kaiser seems taller than Great Mazinger a bit, so it makes sense it's 28 meters. Grendizer is the biggest till the moment...but yeah, I guess Mazinkaizer SKL might be be bigger/or 30 as well (it's gonna be added to the canon despite it seems like a different universe, right?) ;D Now, any idea how God Mazinger's height is? Yep, Maz-Z is 18 meters (59ft.); Great Maz is 25meters; I was never sure about Grendizer, but the data seems correct. I've never seen Mazinkaiser in the old SRW games, so I really don't know. Perhaps I just never recognized him in those games, nor thought about his data, compared to the Mazinkaiser in the first OVA series.
About Mazinkaiser SKL: if you wanna add him to the canon for your own personal reference, go right ahead. Here's how I look at it... he's a mazinger, so, I'd add him to the Mazinger timeline even though he's from an alternative universe whatever (God Mazinger is from that weird prehistoric age, yet he's in the timeline as an alternate universe character; the same for that space-age knight Mazinger in the Mazin Saga manga).
As for God Mazinger's height, I compare him to the average Tyranosaurous-Rex species---- I'd say God Mazinger is about 20 meters tall, since he's a statue. Given the "technology" of that kingdom, them folks couldn't build statues any higher than a typical egyptian sphynx; otherwise it would take them a very long time to build a god statue so darn tall. They needed that god to defend them against the evil Dinosaur Empire as soon as possible.
Back to his height, I could be wrong about his height. I've just tried looking up that information, and it's not even documented in the God Mazinger wikipedias.
The only other source I can think of, for that information, is the Mazinger Bible-- which can be searched and downloaded off the net. Try searching for it as a .torrent file, or perhaps someone out there may have it shared as a direct-download.
The Mazinger Bible has all the stats on the robots you've listed above, as well as info about their mangas and anime series data. (minus Mazinkaiser SKL, since he's new). Of course, the Mazinger Bible is in Japanese... ...the pages were scanned as images, so you might have trouble translating them to your language to get the information you're seeking.

I guess I found 2 download links for Mazinger Bible... www.megaupload.com/?d=63ATLCUC [part 1 of 2] and www.megaupload.com/?d=OFXK5N5J [part 2 of 2] Thanks a lot for letting me know, Magengar! I agree on what you said and yes, Mazinkaizer SKL is surly included in the canon even though it's a different world. Cheers, buddy!

Well, in trhe Mazinkaiser OVA, these are the stats given:
Mazinger Z: 18 meters
Great Mazinger: 20.5 meters
Mazinkaiser: 23 meters
But as I always say, take Super Robot heights with a grain of salt. When compared to their human pilot's height, most of these size stats are plain ridiculous...

These heights sound reasonable too and don't make Make Mazinger Z look like a midget ...But how were they mentioned in the OVAs; you mean a book about the OVAs? Man, this topic is classic... I love seeing this debate every few years. ;D So I will take this opportunity to tie in with current discussions in the other threads... like the fact that if you go by the sheer numbers, just like in that pic posted above, VF-19 should tower over VF-1... And it does. Even if you go by the Bandai Hi-Metal thread, I mentioned that in 1/100, while pretty close, the VF-19 toy is slightly taller and beefier than the VF-1 toy. And even then, Bandai still sort of cheated because in jet modes, when you look inside the cockpits, the pilot figures are NOT the same size - Basara is clearly smaller than Hikaru. But it's kind of hard to cheat with the Valkyrie toys because of the pilots being relatively visible... Super-Robots on the other hand... well... I like OVA numbers best. They don't tower over each other and can reasonably explain those team-up movies. Like Great Mazinger vs Mazinger-Z - in that one they stand next to each other and shake hands. One or two meters difference at that scale is like a few inches between a taller person and a shorter person. So that's still okay. ...Grendizer, my favourite super-robot is another story altogether who's hardest to cheat in the Mazinger world since his pilot sits INSIDE his nose according to the animation. Well, at least the cock-pit canopy is that panel where the nose is... whether the cockpit takes up the entire head or is just that smaller area is up for debate...

I see! That's cool, man. I only have Grendizer on VCD/VHS, Mazinger Z VHS and Mazinkaiser (I couldn't find anywhere, so I had to download it from the web). I never saw Great Mazinger OVAs till now! Also, I don't think they will ever show Mazinkaiser in the Middle East cuz of the eroticism in it, which is against the values of Arabs These heights sound reasonable too and don't make Make Mazinger Z look like a midget ...But how were they mentioned in the OVAs; you mean a book about the OVAs? problem with there size is that it variates time to time, i mean in the old mangas Mazinger Z is 18 meters but the newer one Shin Mazinger Zero he is 30metters so it actually does not matter much to know how specific they are.

I assume many asians (Japanese) males are roughly about 5' 7" tall. So imagine how tall Koji is compared to Tetsuya and Duke Fleed. My math is so terrible I just assume all super-robot pilots are 6ft tall, and multiply them X-amount of times to calculate the height of their robots, for my own reference... 60 Kojis standing on eachother's shoulders would match Mazinger-Z's height by american measurment standards (in Inches and Feet)... as y'all know, here in the US we don't use the metric system as much as it is used in Europe.
Duke Fleed is just a lil booger inside Grendy's nose (LOL!)...
...Hmmm... just imagine if Grendizer could Sneeze! ;D

Shin Mazinger & Mazinkaizer SKL are another issue! We are talking about the original Mazinger Canon "Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Grendizer, God Mazinger and Mazinkaiser". So, the heights do matter to the fans. problem with there size is that it variates time to time, i mean in the old mangas Mazinger Z is 18 meters but the newer one Shin Mazinger Zero he is 30metters so it actually does not matter much to know how specific they are.

I have one question; what is a "Mazinger Canon"? I've never heard this term before... Maybe because the Mazins don't have any.

I have one question; what is a "Mazinger Canon"? I've never heard this term before... Maybe because the Mazins don't have any. }\ I read it several times online, so, I guess (only a guess) that perhaps it comes from the Mazinger Bible! The definition of this term that I made is "Mazinger Canon is a group of super robots created by Japanese manga artist Go Nagai. The Mazinger Canon includes: - Mazinger Z - Great Mazinger - Grendizer - God Mazinger - Mazinkaiser - Mazinkaizer SKL."Note: some guys think because Psycho Armor Govarian looks like Mazinger Z & Great Mazinger, that it is one of the Mazinger Canon, but I say "no!" So...Does anyone here own these 4 figures from T.O.P! collection?

No, Govarian is not a maz. He's a gun-slingin gangsta in "maz drag". ;D Just kidding. Govarian isn't a mazinger, so I wouldn't categorize him in the Mazinger Canon. As for This reference, I define the word "canon" the same as a "family tree" or "prototypes of the parent product family". All the mazingers listed are of the same nomenclature (item name) even though some are advanced prototypes of their previous versions; and others are paralell-universally related to the parent item (Mazinger-Z). Energer-Z should be listed in this canon, since it was the Original mazinger robot character in its historic manga stage Before it was revamped as "Mazinger-Z". As for those T.O.P. Mazinger kits, Daaaamn I'd love to have 'em! ;D zozo-magengar I have one question; what is a "Mazinger Canon"? I've never heard this term before... I wish this poll would give us to choose them in orders. Obviously, Mazinger Z will lead for sure! I just choose Great Mazinger becasue I think it deserves some love. And I am in shock when I see the result - UFO Robot Grendizer is in the LEAD!? I wonder it is becasue Mazinger Z is a few years older and more people have seen Grendizer rather than Mazinger Z...

The thing is that Grendizer is still pretty famous in places like Italy, France, and the Middle East. Mazinger is more famous almost everywhere else. However, the crappy Shin Mazinger anime didn't help at all to keep its legend alive and well. And let's not forget that Bandai have been pretty much a bunch of a$$holes with the continued release of the same version of the character with different color schemes. It is enough to make the most loyal fan just hate it!
