So this was the special announcement that the capcom guy couldn't make at the EVO tournament. Pretty much confirmed I guess, but I wonder since there was always talks about making s 3D street fighter, that they will use the tekken type game engine.

It's rumored that they're supposed to be making duel games, using each others engine. A Capcom Vs Namco AND and Namco Vs Capcom. So one game will be 2D withe SF properties, the other a 3D Tekken type fighter. Man, I sure hope this is true. This would be quite an undertaking though. Prolly wouldn't see this for a couple years or so I would imagine?? Unless they got started on this a while ago. Is that Pac-man in the left hand corner (stage right) Crazyness!

Not official yet, but the Director of SSF4 is having a panel at 1:00 pm tomorrow to discuss the future of Street Fighter, so I'm guessing he'll be announcing it then! I'll be in attendance so I'll update as soon as I can!
Went to the Capcom panel yesterday but they said NOTHING about SF at all... guess they were just leaving it to Mr. Ono.

Can't wait to hear the recon report, gpa! So, Capcom's still pretty tight lipped, eh! Whatta suspense builder! EDIT: I'm guessing the pic is nothing more than a sophisticated, 'shop.

it has been confirmed there will be 2 games one is Capcom vs Namco which will be programmed by capcom and be a standard fighting game the other will be Namco vs Capcom which will be developed by Namco it was stated that it will have more of a adventure RPG to it. there was another Namco vs Capcom game which was a RPG as well for the PS2 it will not be just basic fighting characters like Sf and Tekken they also had everything else including Pacman, Darkstalkers, Megaman, Ghost n Goblins, Bravoman and a ton of others as well. this sounds like it could be good.

Yeah, it was freaking awesome... I was sitting in front of Harada, the creator of Tekken. They were talking about SSF4 then all of a sudden he got up and challenged Ono to say which is better, Tekken or SF? Then they whipped out the teaser movie, and followed it up with "a secret BluRay with a demo of the game in action"
It's not going to be out for a while though since they want to give MVC3 some time to sell.... They didn't show anything on the Namco version of the game.
And from the look of it is ONLY going to be SF and Tekken

I sort of figured that it won't release for a while yet, but still, I cannot wait! The screens for the Capcom engine version look pretty awesome so far (thanks for the link, rx79msg). So what's up with this "demo"? did you actually get some sort of freebie swag when you attended the panel? Or was it just demo'd at the panel? Either way that still sounds like it would have been awesome to attend! Thanks for the news! I'm a happy fanboy!

Well Harada and Ono said they were going to play the beta build Ono "sneaked" out of capcom japan, but I'm sure they weren't actually playing but we got to see the game actually running on PS3 with a team of Ryu and Chun Li vs. Kazuya and Nina.
