This will use SFIV/SSFIV's game engine with the added bonus of tag matches.
It's rumored that Namco will be making Tekken X Street Fighter which will be using the Tekken 6 game engine.

The fight footage was ...breath-taking. I'm a Street Fighter veteran of the arcades from the early 90's and I never got that good... and now with SF4 setting the standard... I still suck! But I love it. It's exciting - even when I lose! I'm not so much of a Tekken fan, but I'm thinking maybe I should start playing it. Can't wait to see more of SF and Tekken going at it!

Bizarre... I hope the drastic difference in fighting style will not give too much advantage to either side, since Tekken is not known for its high jumping attacks.
I wonder if this will be released for the PC like SF4.

im looking forward to thjis than mvc3 I was looking forward to MVC3 very much until they show the 3D in-game models... I wish they keep the 2D fighting game style.

yeah not liking the artistic direction of mvc3..... at all, I was hoping for high res 2d ala blaze blue but not the crap they put fourth.
I like the style of SxT but i wish they went with 3d areanas like in tekken, plus i would of been curious to see more humanized SF characters. And damn did they bulk up Kazuya... hes like on steriods X3

SF vs Tekken is using the SFIV game engine hence no "3D arenas". Tekken vs SF will use the Tekken 6's game engine and graphics. They already released a prototype of how Ryu would look like in the Tekken universe.

Wha...?? Is Cole a Capcom or Namco property now?? Neither. He's a guest character. It's like how Darth Vader, Yoda, Spawn, Link and Kratos were in the Soulcalibur series but they are not owned by Namco Bandai.

Saying "typical fighting game" is like calling all giant robots "Gundams." No two are really a like, try going through 4 different titles and you'll find you can't play SF the same way you can play Guilty Gear, Mortal Kombat, Tekken or Virtua Fighter. They all have a shared play style, which is true, but they each approach that in different ways.
