What do you mean by bigger?? Around the same size as Mazinkaiser. Mazinkaiser feels and looks so much different than the other Riobots Oh. You should get a bit more familiar with these actual series, man. Sentinel is doing a good job of keeping things in decent perspective scale-wise and that would really botch some stuff up. Enjoy Mazinkaiser for what it is and brings to the table for sure, but not every super robot in the same line will (or more importantly **should**) have similar sizing.

Could somebody please tell me the difference between the 1st Edition and 2nd Shipment of this figure? Which is preferable?

Could somebody please tell me the difference between the 1st Edition and 2nd Shipment of this figure? Which is preferable? There's no difference. I remembered that the initial listing for preorder sold out immediately. Sentinel kind underestimate Gurren Lagann popularity. So Sentinel increased the production and the second shipment was like a month later.

Do you guys recommend this Gurren? I had the Konami one a while back but had to sell it due to financial issues. Is this one better?

The Konami one trumps all as far as I'm concerned. To me, this one looks cool, but it's not Gurren Lagann.

Do you guys recommend this Gurren? I had the Konami one a while back but had to sell it due to financial issues. Is this one better? I've looked into the Gurren Lagann figures for some time. Most people agree that the die-cast Konami is the ultimate. But it costs $1,000 now. From what I've read, and discussed with others, the Riobot comes in second. The articulation is supposed to be insane. But I just love the aesthetics. For me, the SRC is boring by comparison. I love to photograph my robots. I feel I can do something that stands out with the Riobot. I started considering this robot a few months ago, but put it off because it cost $180. I've watched the price rise steadily. Now most vendors on eBay & Amazon want $230+. I just made an offer and agreed to buy a new one on eBay for $218 w/free shipping. So, it's a done deal! Can't wait to have this kick-ass robot in my collection. A Gurren Lagann is way overdue.

As someone who's owned the Konami, it's not worth it. Mine came with a bunch of white marks from the factory as well as loose joints. I couldn't give the thing away; I actually sold it for $200 in the end on eBay.
I love Gurren Lagann. I desperately want a big, high-quality, pose-able and durable figure representing him. But that figure doesn't exist yet. The Konami is stupid expensive now and you run the risk of factory flaws even on sealed ones, the Studio Halfeye kit is rare and incredibly expensive as well as fragile, and both the Riobot and SRC are too small for me. For me it'll be either Soul of Chogokin, or a bigger Sentinel piece, or bust.

I was hoping to see a Soul of Chogokin version of him. I was too high on the super robot chogokin version as the proportions seem off to me. I am reading up on the riobot version and looking at some reviews to see if I will go with that one.

Any time now someone will give us a nice successor to the Konami one. The Riobot is my go to GL but the SRC i like for different reasons.
