I have a red elbow voltes in popy box with a second chogokin book (the book version after combattler's chogokin book) which to me indicate that this voltes is an earlier version but I am not really sure.
My chogokin book is the same as the one that come with yellow elbow version. Could my popy voltes be the same version as the yellow elbow?
Also, it has a mysteriously white casing for missiles. I read in this forum somewhere that it has only two versions of missiles casing : black or blue.
Can someone enlighten me about this?

This is the picture of my volt in box. The chogokin book is the second one but it has white box for the antennas instead of black

May have just been swapped in from another set, or just what the factory had when shoving that batch of boxes out the door. Not too much science to it, unfortunately.
Usually, the blue, black, or white, backing trays are seen the same for all the accessories in any particular one box.

I guess I have to resign to my fate that I had been duped. How can you tell version one to version two in term of cover lid ,outer box or the toy inside? Is the antenna tray always have to be either black or blue? I saw one of Venson's Volt in Box and I believe it is first version with red elbow. Its antenna ands misile tray are blue. Does it has to be that color?

i think this is not uncommon, especially when you purchase vintage toys over the NET (read ebay).
when i purchased my first godaikin voltes v, the local seller was honest enough to inform me that the set was actually made up of 2 incomplete sets.
