Anybody here bought/ have a g-system. Are they like considered customs or are they actually a part of bandai. Do they make their own molds or they customize gundams and built them for you?

G-System is a legitimate company based in Hong Kong that makes resin kits that they're not just your regular garage kits you find on Ebay. Although they don't have the lisence from Bandai to produce Gundams their kits level of quality and complexity are usually off the charts. The thing is that these kits are made from unpainted resin parts which means that you have to be an experienced modeller to build them. For those who know resin is very difficult thing to work with(from cleaning and sanding to priming and the finally painting). I've two kits from them: 1/72 Sinanju www.g-system-shop.com/product_info.php?scale_id=12&products_id=92 and 1/60 Gerbera Tetra www.g-system-shop.com/product_info.php?scale_id=11&products_id=119 . There is also G-System Models which makes mostly desktop heads g-system-models.com/index+.html . Now if you want to purchase something from them outside of their websites beware the fact that they're also some guys that make recasts out of this kits!

Yeah G-System models are probably THE most difficult but beautiful Gundam models you can get. They are insanely expensive and the skills to put one of these together is pretty high, but detail wise their the King of the Mountain They build all their own molds and are pretty much a legitimate company with a staff of model makers/sculptors. If your planning on getting one and have never worked on a resin kit I would recommend buying a cheap kit just to get some experience.

i have some great ones up on my ebay auctions right now (the 1/60 GP-04 and Gerbera Tetra and 1/100 EX-S) if you are interested some of the newer ones are color cast resin, and can be simply panel lined and put together like a normal MG or PG kit from Bandai, they have made some incredible kits. coming soon is a full color cast 1/35 EX-S gundam which looks mindblowing. you should check them out they have some great things.

Man oh man those kits look beautiful when completed, but daunting to complete. Kudos to the folks who have the time and skills to put together such brilliant pieces.

yeah only downside is that you cant mess with them much after completion. But damn are they some of the sweetest versions of gundams out there.

That is definitely one of my "grails". When I win the lottery, that'll be one of my first purchases! LOL!
