Oh I wish I waited for the purple one. But My Dad was asking me what i want for my birthday and I jokingly said a 3DS. He preordered me a black one. He rocks! Now, what games will be good on it?
Ridge Racer - i get this with every console launch it seems, it never really changes. No internet play either.
Super Street Fighter 4 - looks cool, but I already have it on PS3. Does have internet multiplayer
DOA - Wont be out till May sadly, but looks pretty cool.
Any others? When is MarioKart 3D???

That purple one does look cool. But I think I'll go for black - it's ... you know, neutral. I'm excited for the 3DS because it attempts to bring something new to the table. Direction-specific imaging already exists (I hear Samsung already uses it in their car-GPS screens so that the driver sees the navigation display while the passenger can watch a movie, etc). But this is new way to use that display (left-eye vs right-eye) and if somehow the technology can evolve and improve (maybe even widen the sweet-spot where the 3D can be viewed, perhaps then we'll have home-theatre 3D that be also no-glasses)...
Anyway, I have a funny feeling the games won't be much different at first. I'd like to have Super Street Fighter on the go. And I haven't played a DOA in a while (Haven't played it since DOA3). so I'm interested in both. Will they blow my mind in 3D? who knows. Probably not. But still the novelty will be cool at least.

I got my Black 3DS. So far I have to say the 3D stuff is pretty neat. I can see it fine, even with my sh*tty 37 year old sight. Downsides are a lot of the features wont be released till later via a software update.
My friend code is 4124-5015-0136 if anyone else has one and wants to play!

Finally got to play around with one of these at wondercon today. The 3D looks amazing but does need to get adjusted to it. Eyes keep on telling me the image is fuzzy but it isn't. If only it isn't as expensive. Definitely liking the new zelda game.

You have to hold it so it's locked to your eyes, then the 3D works fine.

Didn't get a chance to look at the zelda game on the first day I was there, but I was dissappointed when I got to play it and it was just a remake of the ocarina of time from the N64 in 3D. Kid icarus was somewhat cool. It is like playng space harrier if you guys remember on the sega or the boss fights on World Runner for the nintendo. The thing is you control Pit with the analog stick and fire with the L trigger. You aim with the stylus pen, simliar to the Metriod games on the DS.
The assumption of 3D is that thing fly toward you and at the movies, with the 3D glasses, objects does look like they are right there in front of you and sometime feels like you can reach out and touch it. This screen isn't lke that. This 3D works in that the screen looks like it is concave inwards. So the object in front looks really well define and the background is further away. So, instead of things poping out at you, it's more like things fall into the screen. Truely amazing. It took me a couple of glances to get adjusted to it, but the effects work really well. But with all the available demos there at wondercon, there still isn't a good enough title for me to get this. I will wait it out until something great comes out.
