Platinum Games (Madworld, Bayonetta) has developed a new 3rd person shooter for the PS3/360. To be released 10.19.10.

I think this will fill the void left with the lackluster story on Lost Planet 2 for me.

EDIT: Directed by Shinji Mikami whose credits include: God Hand and the original Resident Evil.

Demo is up on both consoles I think.
