that is the best Getter Robo custom i have ever seen, great job on it. all that is missing is the cape and a tomahawk and it would have been perfect. =D

Even without the cape and the tomahawk it Does look Perfect! DaaaaAAAAAaaaamn, genius use of the foam tiles, and it looks very well scaled for your body proportion. You gotta pass them pics to KidboyD so he can post them in RobotJapan's Customs Gallery at the front website page! Great Job!!!!!!! zozo-Magengar

Thanks! and yea, I made the tomahawk, but the party i was going to didn't allow weapons in, so I didn't bring it...for some reason I never even considered the cape...easy enough add though, now that you mention it. themazingerz: not sure what it's take to do a custom job...would be pretty hard to get the fit right. Mazinger is definitely a doable character though

That reminds me, I gotta check out the Party Store in my area... I've always wanted to browse for large plastic weapons such as battleaxes, swords, sickles, horned viking helmets, prongs... ya know, large plastic weapons that can be used for custom Jumbos. ;D

droutmaster: i used 2'x2' foam flooring tiles, and cut them to shape with an xacto knife or utility knife. Make sure you have a ton of glue and lots of extra blades. You need the blades to be razor sharp or else they tear the foam, so be prepared to switch often.
For the cylinders, you wrap em around, tape the joint nice and tight, then hot glue the seam down the back. I used a secondary piece inside each joint as well to secure it. You can also heat the foam up in the oven or use a heat gun to curve and bend the foam into shape. Once you've got the design, paint the entire thing with a coat of flexbond, then spraypaint over with whatever colors you want (I used all krylon fusion paints).
Also added in some velcro strips to keep everything lined up.
