Holy crap clan. I just can't believe how crazy Toys R Us is lately. Here in NYC we have the entire 3rd and 4th series toys on sale. The sale is close to 60% off now!
If my fuzzy memory serves me correctly, the $12 price for the Autobot Jazz is only $1 different than the 1984 prices. Yikes!
I suggest stopping by TRU and checking out the sales.

P.S. I did a comparison of Tracks, the Diaclone with Tracks, the Transformer G1, with Tracks the reissue toy. They are very very close to the same mold.
We just get a few revisions for safety and design improvements. Besides that, I presume the molds are the same.

Tracks is definitely one of the better reissues, in terms of accuracy to the original. Hoist is also very close to the original, minus the springloaded arms/fists, and Dirge is pretty much a direct copy. The TRU here in New Orleans has plenty of reissues left as well, but they are definitely finally selling. If they started the prices lower to begin with, they might not have been stuck with so many for so long and the TF Commemorative Series might still be alive. From what I'm reading on various TF boards, the Hasbro reissues are through. So this is surely the time to pick a few up for a great final price. Thanks for the heads up Ed.

Yeah, due to really slow sales...(Due to the pricing by BOTH Hasbro's wholesale gouging AND TRU markup...) they announced at San Diego Comicon that they were only going with 4 MAX per year. That was before the clearance so plans may have been reduced even further if not cancelled altogether.

I found myself staring at these at TRU yesterday. $14 - $19 for a car or jet, and I couldnt bring myself to do it.
Binaltech has spoiled me.

It's cool putting my reissue Tracks, my only reissue, next to the Alternators Tracks. They really got the homages downpat, and both are awesome toys in comparison to their relative ages.
