Oh yeah, my point was, if Yuki got those GB-24s made in 81 in the late 90s then it would be TOTALLY possible that the Etarnal Heros and other Popy "reissues" were just old stock. Nuff said. That's pretty interesting. I always assumed they just made more. But that's an awful long time to hold onto old merchandise, especially when they kept producing new stuff in vast quantities. And thanks for that photo. Yeah, I definitely recognize those shoulder buttons from the other figures. BTW, love that Poseidon MFV. That's pretty damn rare - I can't recall really seeing it before. Does it shoot jets out of its chest? Did it in the show? |

Myles. Not to derail the thread, but true the Poseidon MFV is super duper rare. What's equally as rare, but not as exciting is that teeny tiny little Dynaman mini sofubi hiding in there. NEVER see that.

Yeah, well pretty much after Goggle V (just prior to Dynaman) the sofubi thing fell off for sentai robots. Outside of the actual cast and maybe an enemy or two that is the ONLY Dynarobo sofubi. there is no Bioman. There is a "sparking" Changeman, I've got it in window box and it's DOPE!!! After Changeman I don't think Sentai Robo sofubi came back until the 90s... I may be wrong as my brain is so saturated with this sh*t.. |

I was thinking. I wonder what happened to all those Tokusatsu costumes. Wouldn't it be cool to own one? I see them on YJP from time to time and they go for tens of thousands. I wonder if they were just recycled, because they aren't in some museum somewhere... Hmm...

There must have been several of each, too, as I believe they made many due to tears, wear, stains, etc. during filming. That would be so damned cool to have a life- (at least human-) sized D17 in your living room. Ed did used to have one of the newer Red Rangers, if I recall correctly. A store promo figure.

I bought a GD-17 electronic D17 from king_loco_510 on eBay, paid on 11/11/10 still have not received it... Ugh. Hope this works out.

I received GD-17 yesterday, and closed the eBay dispute. He's a cool looking robot and I have it out with my old 'gokin and my new little ban presto guy. I bought a Taiwanese jumbo so I will take a pic once I have him in my possession.

And my Taiwanese jumbo D17 KO showed up today, very cool. That is my first jumbo, hopefully I can control myself.

Glad to hear it worked out. I've seen that ebayer post the Daitetsujin many times as it seems he has quite a few. Been wanting to get one myself but have heard many of them have mechanical problems right out the box. I received GD-17 yesterday, and closed the eBay dispute.
