That's Dave Waugh's work. The Arden Robo Skateboard has been in my collection for quite awhile. It's really nice.

Yeah, I have the Arden Robo Skateboard print too. I need to get a frame for it.

He did a real nice job on the Jeeg one. I like that its over the patent pages for the toys. I'm not familiar enough with the Arden toy for that one to hit me. Yet.

Microman is a slippery slope! As you're already anticipating, it won't be long haha

So..... my question:
Which came first, which inspired which? JEEG? ..........or Baron Karza and Force Commander?
Jeeg, Karza, and of course Force Commander all look similar... check out their bodies and compare.

The Takara Koutetsu Jeeg was first. Then came the Micronauts...

Thanks, bro. You and KingboyD have confirmed the answer right on. Amazing how something completely different can be inspired from an old classic anime, yet still have some visual reference back to its source. Thanks! zozo-Mag

speaking of being inspired, then came Darth Vader! Interesting that... did one come first, or was it that strange synchronicity, like Swan and Edison for the electric light, or Moog and Buchla for the synthesizer.

Wow, I didn't think Darth Vader would fall in there, but yeah, there is an obvious similarity. Perhaps George Lucas has collected a few Micronauts for a while back in the day. zozo-Mag
