Oh, man - you know you love it! Its got T28, your favorite! How can you not like it? OK, here's some more photos. First off, the box is pretty large - this is a decent sized toy. Secondly, although Maz Z is pictured in the central portion of the bot on the box cover, it actually comes with Great Maz. Third, there's a fourth robot involved too - Godsigma! The instructions came laminated - how often do you see that? Box back: Instructions: The toy itself: Closeups of the super robots (fortunately these are chromed and not cheap plastic like on the box and in the instructions): Some notes: - The small box is a model of one of the weird looking Robodatchi style robots on the bottom of the box back. - There are other parts underneath the box, including missiles and more attachments. Yes, this fires missiles! - The super robots have magnets on their feet. You can see in the box art and instructions how they can hang on the sides of the larger vehicle (see below). Also, be sure to check out the pic of them on the Raid can!!!! - In addition to the large power suit, this can be assembled in various vehicle modes, as shown in the illustrations. I have not yet put it together. I'll get pics up when I do. So many features and so much chrome for a boot. This RAWKS!!!!

I normally don't like all plastic robots minus any metal except for the jumbo vinyls, but this set looks good, and it has several unique transformation possibility's, which is always a big plus for me. And the fact it has those big four chrome robots which fit in the suits really puts it over the top IMO.... This made me think of something I spotted the other day when I was surfing Diaclones. This being a set I did have as a kid with the little figures with the magnet feet which goes in vehicles triggered the memory, and that is what made me think this set is kinda similar with the core concept anyway. Here it is below, the Microman Gats, and this one is mint in japan, but I have seen used ones go in America for much less, say a solid complete lightly played set for perhaps 100 dollars.... cgi.ebay.com/TAKARA-DIACLONE-MICROMAN-GATS-BLOCKER-godaikin-POPY-/400092096083?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d2758e653#ht_2898wt_1003

This is a really cool and creative piece. I find it especially interesting how much robot pop history is contained in this thing. Obviously there is the freedom (or lawlessness) of the Korean knock off imagination at work here, of which this is certainly one of the most interesting examples I've ever seen, but it also displays a unique hybrid of Microman and super robots themes. Considering that both of these franchises were competing for the imaginations and the consumer dollars of that time, it makes sense that they might have tried to bring together these influences. Nice score Myles. Is there a date on this?

You better just cut it out, Myles. Gah! You guys find the weirdest stuff. That thing is really cool, with the powersuit thing going. The robots, in chrome, is a nice touch. Now I have to like it, since it has a Godsigma in there.

Yeah, this does have elements of Diaclone too, I suppose, with the feet magnets. Though as you said, the Diaclone drivers are about 1 inch tall, while these are about 3 - 4 inches tall (don't have it in front of me now). They did a pretty good job on the bots - they are pretty accurate. For example, Tetsujin has his jetpack, and they even kept the number 28 rather than changing it to avoid copyright issues.
X, I don't recall seeing a date, though I didn't look. But I think the seller said it was from the 1990s.
Jon, yeah, its got your fave too! I love these crazy unlicensed toys, though mostly from afar. But this is one that I really dug, based on the multiple bots incorporated into a single toy. Its almost like a big scale base set, maybe like the Machine Blaster one with 4 bots. It was just too crazy and cool at the same time to pass up. The various modes look wild - I can't wait to pull this thing out again and try them all. Expect to see lots more pics!
