I just got a nice Bio man set from Australia I had bought on ebay roughly about 6 weeks back. The Bio Dragon as well, both boxes a bit rough say c-6, three missiles which work in both Bio shoulders and in the Bio Dragon. The Bio-man real nice minus chip in left yellow horn, triangle shaped, very small, perhaps 8th of an inch in length, and the sword and shield's chrome had been faded away through time, showing white underneath....
I took some chrome paint I used with some old mpc model kits, and re-painted the sword, and also decided why not customize and paint the handle flat black, and I was really pleased with how it turned out. Same with the paint ring I put around that half inch chrome section on the outside of the sticker in center of shield....
Finally with the horn, what could I do I thought, certainly did not want to trim off yellow sections with exact-o, last possible option, to make match, file down an paint, but chance of chipping into area not wanted to remove, to great.....
So I thought plastic fabrication, what can I find that is same yellow color and carve to fit exactly shape an color to fit on the chip area so I can use super fast drying glue to re-attach fabricated horn. Low and behold I found an old yellow flashlight same color, and cut a section from around the area were the groves are, where the top screws on after battery's are inserted....
I got say, I have did some great glue an fabrication work on some old G.I. Joe hinges on an old Cobra Rattler for example, (blueprint of a A-10 warthog tank buster), but this work is flat amazing to me, as it takes a real good eye upon very close examination to see any difference between the right an left horn. It really looks good now after I repainted that exact same canary yellow. The chrome shield and sword look like new, and the rough grooves on the edge of the sword from many years of play, now looks like sharping grooves, a most unique quality for a plastic Godaikin sword. And the horn, wow I can't get over how much nicer this set is now, I will do a video later tonight and post on this thread showing close ups....
