Alot of people don't like this, but I sure do. It may be a simple repaint, but it's of a well known characture I love plus Mp Prime is such a great toy in the first place I wouldn't get another one with a slight difference.

I guess the only difference is that trailer is a paper magnus.... but thats it.. I'm suprised theres nothing cooler... they should have put different weapons or something!

I'm pretty sure it was "actually" released yesterday...give or take a week. I like it, but I still don't get with Yamato making 1/48 GBP-1 armor, satisfying all the fans, Has/Tak can't just make real UltraMagnus amor. Yeah, Magnus is cool, course he is, but it just ain't the same.
Oh, and I beleive Remy has some pics comin' up though.

Well it seems that I'm the only one  . I don't see why people are trashing on Magnus, sure he's basically a re-painted Prime but people don't mind buying seven different versions of Macross Valks (may have different heads but they are still the same toy) or a couple versions of Aoshima's Mazinkaiser and Shin Getter. I think people are just upset that it's not a totally new design, but I like to believe that if Takara see's that there is a market for a MP figure, even just a re-paint, that they will come up with new MP versions of other charactures too. |

I'm upset that I don't get why, when this is the masterpiece line, why they didn't make some armor. Then I doubt anybody would be complaining...
I really hope they keep this line up, making a couple new vers. every year or so. That would be sweet...

Well it seems that I'm the only one . Nah, I'm going to get it too!  I might not get it immediately, due to my current lack of funds, but I'll definitely get it. Of course, I wish it had the armor too, but I still think it's an awesome homage to the original. It's also an awesome reference to the way he appeared in the DW comic when he saved Optimus, moments after Shockwave obliterated his armor. That was one of my favorite moments in TF comic history. |

Meh, the armor, in all honesty, is okay. I mean, it's one hell of a scratchbuild, but the proportions are pretty funky. Still cool though.

I know what you mean, Fug. I noticed that too. But from a home-made perspective, this trailer/armor is ingenious. If Takara would purchase the rights to the design from this guy, and tweak it just a wee little bit, I do believe it would make a TRUE "masterpiece" Ultra Magnus. ;D
