Has anyone had any problems with GaoFighGar's arms? I just recently took out my GaoFighGao to merge it and when i was 'positioning' the arms for the merger it broke off and out came the 'gear' that was holding the arm. Did anyone meet up with this problem that could help me fix it up cause i could not see or notice any method to fix it back after removing the torso there seems to be a few parts that i couldn't use superglue or anything as it'll prevent the arm from moving at all. (Attached is the pic on the broken arm part) I've had so much problems with CM's joints breaking off all the time and it has made me lose confidence in their capability and durability of their products. img339.imageshack.us/i/gfg2.jpg

Whoa, that looks horrible. CMs used to provide customer support a few years back but I think they stopped doing that. If you can provide more pics of the broken part (might require you having to take apart the whole thing to see the actual damaged part) you can try asking hlj.com for it, they sometimes provide folks with repair parts for a fee. Good luck.

problem is, is that HLJ no longer carries fighgar in any form.
I was thinking about getting one on ebay...but not if it will snap in half when I am posing it.

Sadly yes, there a lot of fragility issues with most of CM's Products. My point was that they can sometimes facilitate orders directly from the company (in this case CM's Corp.) for replacement parts since they're based in Japan and the company might consider it, Hlj's done it in the past for other customers regardless if they bought the original item from them or not, not sure if HLJ having stock on hand is part of the equation though. Thanks all for the help. Think i'll try to email hobbylink and see if they could help with the broken arm.
Just upset with the quality of the toys that CMs produces. Now my gaigo's arm just broke with the similar problem with GaoGaiGar's plastic knee joint problem.
Seriously why produce such bad quality toys and yet charge so much? But like they say if you don't like it don't buy/support them and guess that's what i'll do.
Just a warning to the people reading this PLEASE be EXTREMELY careful when you find joints or movable parts that are in such cases/situations that are made of plastics or metals connecting to each other as the plastic part are more likely to give way/break.

I'm just so upset and disappointed with CM's quality control checks that i don't think i'm going to support their products ever again due to numerous problems plaguing their product lines from GaoGaiGo, GaoFighGar to Genesic GaoGaiGar.
Btw this is the reply i got from hobbylink.
Hi,
Thank you for writing in.
It looks like it might be a fairly easy fix, if I understand what I am seeing.
Is that gear broken off, or just loose? If broken, you may be able to reattach it to its position with either epoxy glue or maybe even a screw, if it won't interfere with the other moving parts inside. Attaching the outer case and arm would be a simple matter of just gluing it on with epoxy glue.
If you are not concerned with the inner functioning of the mechanics, you could just glue the arm back on and not worry about the gear.
I hope that helps!
Thank you for shopping at HobbyLink Japan! We appreciate your business!
Best Regards,
Brian Keaney

Thank you all for all the help you guys have provided but the GaoGaiGar range of toys really left a bad, BAD taste in my mouth and i'm a vivid lover of toys and it really pains my heart just to see them broken and stuffs like that if you guys understand my pain and i'm not one of those people that are rich enough to afford 2 or just simply throw and replace these toys. I've a bad childhood and now that i've grown up i could slightly buy back these childhood memories of mine that i was missing out in toys like these.
I really appreciate all the help you guys have given me. Once again thank you all.

Oh gosh what a coincidence!! this happened to me last year. I was so upset abt it, that it just snuffed out any interest for me on any future CM's Brave Gokin releases (& that includes the now on hiatus Super Fire Dagwon).
Thanks nexusdm for bringing up this topic & btw have you done any of the fixes as suggested by the HLJ staff?

Thanks nexusdm for bringing up this topic & btw have you done any of the fixes as suggested by the HLJ staff? Tried to glue back the arm with the gear and the arm wasn't able to move at all to the merging state with the arms at the back. So i broke it off again. Seems really stupid to have a gear part being in some cheap plastic that breaks off that easily. Think they intended to have both arms opening at the sametime utilizing the gear part that they incorporated into the model design but it turned out really bad as one couldn't possibly know what the internal mechanics of the toy is/are let alone understand the language of the instructional manual they provided. For peeps out there with GaoFighGars watch out for the arms transformation as they need to both move to the back at the sametime to avoid breaking the part that i attached in the picture.

i am sad to hear this i have CMS Legioss and Tread , the Time Bokans as well as their Dorvack Calibur and those are quite nice and sturdy it seems that the Gaogaigars have issues i wonder if a separate team worked on those and they were not as experienced at designing figures this complicated resulting in issues like this
