WOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! Man, if I could marry a woman Today, I'd have her wear THAT mask at the altar so i could kiss the bride through it! It looks AAAAAWWWWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! zozo-Mag lil update: been swamped with work lately, but just got the neck spikes yesterday, so i blasted em with paint and stuck em in. primed the whole mask as well and removed the red parts around the eyes. I wanted to make nicer versions of these and put them on after I paint the rest of the mask, to get a nice clean edge. anyways...here's a quick, blurry cameraphone shot for now:)

Lol...thanks everybody You've all got me motivated to get er finished Not going to do the full costume with this guy though...no room to store/display it :/ plus, it's more fun making the mask than the rest of the body. If I get the time, I'll probably end up doing a starscream or soundwave for halloween next year though...ot I might branch out and try to sculpt a silicon mask

C'mon, you Do have room to display it and store it: just WEAR it! ;D Check around your local thrift shops to see if you might find an old second-hand rubbet wet-suit (the kinds used for scuba diving) and some old kids' BMX armour and start with those. Any robot costume made with these items would surely look awesome! I found some 2x2 rubber tile mats (used for kids rooms) in an alley a few nights ago. I'm gonna use them for some "jumbo" projects. I also found some vacuum cleaner hoses (the ribbed hoses)... those will be perfect for stuff like this. ;D Again, you're doing an incredible job with your projects and these masks and costume you've made really do look Awesome! zozo-Magengar Lol...thanks everybody You've all got me motivated to get er finished Not going to do the full costume with this guy though...no room to store/display it :/ plus, it's more fun making the mask than the rest of the body. lol..so much love i think, when it comes down to it, I just have more fun making the masks, so the whole suit is a bit of a daunting task...we'll see how much motivation I have once the current stretch of work is done...got a busy few weeks ahead of me The good news is, I've learned a lot since I made the getter suit, so if I do end up making another one, it will be a lot better I've got my heart set on a gaiking mask at this point, so that will be my next project once the maz head is painted up.

Now THAT would be a feat to see, a Gaiking mask! PS: I found a gang of rocket nose-cones at a local R/C hobby shop in my area (I'd have to buy the entire rocket kit, but that's cool, I can probably cast repro stuff from the rocket parts as well). I saw a rocket kit that looks like a No.2 lead pencil... the nose-cone is perfectly sharp, about 10" long, made of light plastic... ...perfect for a solid resin cone cast out of a glove-mold. ;D zozo-Mag

I got motivated and did a little prep work for a gaiking last night...it's going to be a difficult one, but definitely doable. Figure once I finish it off I'll just paint it and the maz at the same time.
I ended up getting my nose cones from a place called brs hobbies. Shipping was slow, but they were pretty cheap and have a good selection.
