Well if 6 inch tall figures aren't your shtick then more money saved for you. As for the rest of us, an Orgun toy is too hard to pass up. Agreed, which is why I was so excited for it. But this just seems way overpriced for something that is close to a Robot Damashii or Figma. Figma Tekkaman at $30...I bought several, just wasn't expecting Orgun to be so diminutive. All the publicity shots made it look more in line with a 9-12" figure. Oh well....

If it was not for the fact that July is going to be a bloody month to my wallet, I would have pre ordered Detonator Orgun.

Orgun has shipped! I'm stoked for my 2nd riobot figure. Don't let me down Sentinel.

from the review it stated this figure articulation is top notch the only thing that is bad is the pricing for it.

Just paid HLJ for mine. Sitting in the Private Warehouse now. Debating on whether to ship now or wait for some other stuff to hit. Very nice reviews as well. I just finished the third OVA this weekend. Do you know, it has the nerve to be a beautiful piece of animation. For any era. Period. I'm going to be a Masami Obari fanboy here so, my apologies. He is a master. I need to find a copy of the DVD that's not $200 so I can have it in my collection. Just well-crafted animation and a narrative that's easy on the brain for a change, and yeah, I'll say it. I enjoyed this way more than Tekkaman Blade. I couldn't even make it past 10 episodes of that (although I do plan on watching the OVA at some point). Anyways, yeah, figure looks awesome. Cannot wait to have in hand! EDIT: Perhaps I'm being too harsh on TB. Does it get better? I just felt that they were spit-balling on some of the story elements, and really phoning in the animation. It really looses steam around episode 2 for me. Sorry to go all OT.

Tekkaman does have one too many recap episodes, but at least it ends on a good note.

I got detonator orgun today and I'm quite pleased with it. My quick thoughts:
The paint job is crisp and clean although not quite as flawless as my riobot gurren lagann. Articulation is pretty good all around and even has a pull down joint at the hip like a figuarts figure. Although the shoulder armor kind of restricts movement at the shoulder because you can't completely raise the shoulders up, but's nothing terrible. The large gun has a hand already attached to it and getting the gun on him requires you to remove the shoulder pad and then to reattach it. It's a bit of a pain and it's slightly awkward to pose him with the gun, but it does look fantastic. When your replacing the hands be aware that the wrist guards may pop off so don't lose those. The figure feels really solid in hand and nothing flops around or has popped off while posing it. It's about time orgun finally got a toy it deserves.
I'll post pictures and a gallery later.

Just curious....I never saw the rifle in the OVA. Is this something that was maybe in the light novel perhaps??
EDIT: EXCELLENT pics, also!!

I think the rifle is an original creation by Sentinel as I don't remember seeing it in the anime or throughout any of the design books.

it may have been from the old Sega Genesis CD game that they also made back in the 1990's

One of my favourite anime during the early 90s. I did thought that they should have just changed the name to Tekkaman as the design and feel is quite reminiscent of the old tekkaman series (minus pegas).
