Today at work, I received these two vintage figures I got on Ebay about two weeks ago: Well, once I had them in my hand I immediately saw their awesome potential. So, the creative juices started flowing and I decided to make a custom out of one of them. After I got home from work, I broke out the sculpey, Krylon Fusion spray paint, some tape and spare revoltech joints, and fired up the oven... Here is the result: I may have to do some more touchups on he bottom of the Spacer, but this was a quick job anyway. One thing is for sure, I need to find me a stronger stand! That Stage Act stand did the best it could, as did the revoltch joint I was using to hold the whole thing together in the air. However, the revoltech joint eventually failed and Grendizer did an embarrasing face-plant - no pictures of that, sorry! ;D }D

Bro, that is pure GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!And the colors between Grendy and that saucer go nicely together, so neither item visually overwhelms the other. Nice combination of vintage with modern. Even though the revo Grendy may look technically "out of scale" with that saucer, it still has that awesome effect when ya look at it for what it is right now. Just like seeing him in action on tv. Amazingly Beautiful work, and you did an efficient and quick job with it as well! Thanks for sharing! zozo-Mag

Thanks man! You know, if Grendizer didn't have that huge hump, the scale wouldn't be so noticeable. To top it off, those vintage toys were not very good at keeping scale either... }D

thats really looks pretty good, in some of the pictures Grendizer looks really well with the spazer as if the spazer was made for him. now you need to paint the yellow piece into black so it goes much better.

Nice job! I see you even removed the firing pins. But I agree with droutmaster - paint up the yellow rear part.

I had to take another close look at that Revoltech Grendy... ...a Very Close look at him... damn, up close he sure looks ugly especially around his face detail. By that I mean he looks like a Revoltech item that was Hurried in production. If the manufacturer had take more time with him he would have a better sculpt and a crispy sharp face/head detail. It's still a cool figure, but... Seriously, look at its face... he looks like a '90s Banpresto impersonation. zozo-mag

awwwwww, man! I'm still embarrassed about that. Well, since I moved into my new place on Partridge I haven't smoked inside my room and my figures no longer have that smell. All I'm worried about now is dust, so I wipe my figs down with a soft towel every week or frequently to keep them dust-free. zozo-mag

Quick question, please: - Since this toy doesn't come with a front shutter, what would be the best paint for it: 1,2,3 or 4

Quick question, please: - Since this toy doesn't come with a front shutter, what would be the best paint for it: 1,2,3 or 4 for me it would be option #3 full black, it makes it look like its empty from the inside and that is getting ready to combine with Grendizer or when it separate from the spazer.

Turned out nicely! Great job bro! }D You da the maestro here! Thank you for the inspiration, TMZ bro. DM, you are right - but because it is has no front shutter, I thought it might look better as a midway if you know what I mean? Cheers! Photo: robotjapan.proboards.com/post/331761

D7, you did a fabulous job on that Grendy Spazer! And, yes, it looks really good with the black shutter... ...As in the anime, we don't see much of the inside of the Spazer in that area, when Grendy leaves it and docks back inside it later on.
