There is something strange/wrong with this last picture... Shovel and caterpillar are dark grey and the parts supposed to be purple are blue... This one (prototype ?) is medium grey + purple : And few month ago, they showed us prototype (probably painted resin cast) with dark purple : Even the CG and artwork got purple too : So... maybe it's a bad color calibration for this last pic, but Alternators Rody seems correct.

Some plastics change tint and appearance drastically depending on the lighting conditions (phosphorescent, neon, etc...). Considering the chameleon act the purple plastic is doing I'd imagine that's the case.

IMHO, the main problem with TFC figures is the lack of paint apps, like radiator grille, panels, airings... This figures looks oversized (bigger is better for a Devy), like some KO oversized : some details only work for dedicated scale. The plastic they used looks like you can have sharped edges (vs Fansproject/Maketoy products) but seems to be very robust (go kids, go !). It will also be better with solid fists, with completed design (injection holes sucks). These are critics but I think it will be a very nice gang to combine... We will have time to make reviews later.

Even the CG and artwork got purple too : They look like the same shade as on the latest picture to me. Way more blue than purple. I'd be fine with either the bright or dark purple shown in those first two prototype pics (preferably the bright one), but the blue is way off. Emerje

Why do you think the picture on Robotkingdom shows a red gun that comes with him? I guess a piece of that gun is just a solid red?

Combining guns are cool. Nothing as more irritating than partsforming and then finding a place to keep leftover bits.

Very cool, there was also speculations that there would be extra parts to form the chest plate. The first picture in lejam's post, the one where Exgraver is held up by the Crane arm. They really should of stick to this color scheme. Light grey and light purple.

Why do you think the picture on Robotkingdom shows a red gun that comes with him? I guess a piece of that gun is just a solid red? Exgraver (And, by extension, I presume all the rest of the bots) comes with two guns - one in purple, one in red, both identical. If this holds true across all six, you will have two available guns on the final toy, one in clear red and one in solid purple. Or maybe some sort of hybrid red-purple, who knows.

So anyway, I'm browsing Robot Kingdom and I notice they say Exgraver ships "next week." How true is this and since they're still taking pre-orders, should I place my order NOW? Or is it okay to wait. I know 3rd party bots have a tendency to sell out quickly once they get released but what do my fellow RJ peeps think about Exgraver's chances? ...or my chances to get one if I still haven't made up my mind?

I just saw this today and leapt on it. Barring a beautiful custom piece costing upwards of $1000 at least, this seems to be the way to go to get a great Devastator. Takara seems intent on just reissuing the same molds so this looks great.

Robotkingdom is pretty accurate with release dates. A little trick that I learn from the other transformers message boards, try adding a hundred or so in the qty line and see how many it will allow you to add. Last I check, it is at 70. So between now and next week when it does get release, will all 70 get sold?

I saw that whole discussion about the Make Toys one on Seibertron. I like both but looking at both, I really dig the TFC one better.

When I see the picture, I tried to figure how big this dude will be... So here is a comparison with Classic Prime : TFC Opticmax is 8.5 cm / 3.35 inches, means Devy's palm is about 1/3 of it's size -> 2.83 cm/1.11 inches... Size and squarished design (close to Classic Prime) make this TFC Devy fit with Henkei/Classic line (instead of MP line)... Don't you think so ?

Damn, I'm excited... so... did anybody order Exgraver from somewhere OTHER than RobotKingdom? Just curious if the release was delayed by TFC or it's just RK that didn't ship yet (here we are a week later and they are still saying "next week."

For sure this is some last minute delays... because of QC or shipping or whatever... Deadline is allways hard time where unexpected things happen.
