What? Devy's fist is going to be a parts-former?! lame! Be thankful it's just the fist and not the lower half of the arm from the elbow down like the old figures. This is already a massive improvement over the originals. And you're still wrong, Scrapper is the leg part we've seen, they haven't shown Mixmaster yet. BTW, for those who saw it in person at Botcon what are your thoughts on the individual bot scale? Deluxe or Voyager? Emerje

Damn, wrong again? Was thinking way ahead. What I meant to say is that they can potentially repaint the not scarper and call it not mixmaster. Ex-Scavenger is roughly six inches tall in height. Not quite voyager, and slightly bigger than deluxe. It's like how warbot/springer is. Can't really say it is deluxe size and not really big enough to for voyager.

I reserve the right to complain. Ever since I got Menasor as a kid I've felt ripped off at combiners. I mean, it didn't take me long to figure out that the Stunticons who became Menasor's arms were simply Gobots with extra connectors... I mean, the only thing that made him an arm was the fact that he had a hole where you could plug in a fist. He wasn't an arm so much as a car with a fist attached to the rear.
And here we are 20-some years later and we're STILL attaching fists to the bottoms of robots to make an arm? Granted, it's true, you're right in that Exgraver is showing signs of ELBOW-technology... which is something of an improvement. But still if we're at a point where we can complain about swing-bars on Macross Valkyries, I think we should be allowed to ask for a perfect-transform combiner, no?

Is it even possible to make a toy transforms from robot to vehicle to a hand without looking messed up?!
I think the closest we had so far was ROTF Legendz Devastator, but it's simple and not that detailed. While the bigger version had better transformations, the vehicles could not transform to their robot modes.
If it was possible, the PCC would've been the perfect combiner transformers we had.

The testshot at botcon was Voyager sized (and large voyager sized, at that), without a doubt. I remember being pretty surprised at how large it was. I don't remember and actually though it was kinda small when I saw it. Nowhere near the size of a water bottle like in the very first photos we first saw on this project. The guy from robotkingdom had it under them BTS Sonicron, and I specifically remember that the Sonicron looked much bigger than this which I would consider is in voyager size. When I think voyager size, I alway think something like classics Inferno, and this one isn't quite at that height or width. Maybe I should of brought out a animated prime to compare it to, or the classics prime as those are smaller voyager. But even then, I don't remember the exgraver being just as big as those two in both bot or vechile mode.

However, there have been plenty of TF combiners that haven't needed to partsform for hands. A personal favorite of mine is Rail Racer/JRX, also from RiD/Car Robots.

A picture comparing Exgraver with HA Bumblebee. This confirms the figure is Voyager size.

If you say so. The picture show him in front of the HA bumblebee and it is still shorter than bumblebee, only around chest high. If we define anything that is bigger than deluxe size as voyager, then this is voyager. I still think this is too short for voyager.

I mean, the only thing that made him an arm was the fact that he had a hole where you could plug in a fist. He wasn't an arm so much as a car with a fist attached to the rear. I guess I never expect toys to be realistic and can forgive all of the extra parts needed to make them look good. But it's funny that you called them "Gobots" when the two Gobot combiners, Puzzler and Monstrous, both integrated the hands and feet into the individual figures. The Puzzler team might be the most perfect gestalts of its time with their integrated parts and a third body part form for each figure rather than just plugging vehicles together. They also still had nice individual bot and vehicle forms. Only thing I didn't like about them was their names (trying for a puzzle game theme). And yeah, that picture doesn't give a good sense of scale. BB is pretty far in the back, but also at a different angle. However, I'm thinking he was put in the case to show that they're the same size. Emerje

I noticed that in alt mode, there is no driver's cockpit anywhere unless I am mistaken.

It comes off since it covers one of his hands. It can then be plugged into one of the holes in his back using the peg on top.

I think the color of the plastic looks horrible. I know that is what it is supposed to look like to be G1, but honestly this is one of these toys I would prefer the, to take liberties with. At least the use of a john deer green or something.

I'm fine with the green, but I'd rather the purple wasn't so blue.
