ROTF Voyager Megatron is possibly one of the best Movieverse Megatron figures. It got good articulation, good amount of details, and a non-complex transformation.
But there were some stuff that I wasn't satisfied with, and decided to modify him to satisfy my needs.
Here he is now... First thing I changed was removing his mask bits to give his neck more freedom at movement. I didn't use pliers like I thought I would. Instead, all what I had to do is screwing his body and remove the pieces.
Next is his right arm. In the movie, Megatron had fingers in his right arm, but the toy didn't have. So, I removed the claw-thumb thingy, clipped the tip and re-attached it, and glued the hand of the left arm on the tip of the right one.
And since I have an extra cannon arm, I can switch between them any time I want.
Some might argue I was supposed to attach the hand where the claw was, but the thing is, the first Megatron I got did not have the cannon part on his arm. I don't know it was like that when I bought it or it fell off without noticing it. So, I ended up with an empty part and thought it would be better like this. I also removed the gears inside.
But the biggest problem I had with the figure was his wide backpack. It was so annoying and heavy on the figure and could not stop leaning over. So, I modified it to look like this.
As you can see, I rearranged his wings and made the bigger ones upper and the smaller lower. Kinda looking like a a Seeker's shoulders. Unfortunately, the left upper blade was not aliened properly with the right one, and it's too late to fix it. Anyway, now, the backpack is less wider than before, and lighter as well. Also, I made it so it won't hinder the arm movement, and that's why I did not glue the back together. That, along with being able to swith between the arms.
Now, Megatron can pose and shoot his target looking and moving better than before.
BOOMYEAH!!
