Good for you mojacko, you won't have to pay the insane price to get this Personnally there's just no way I would prefer Bandai's 1/65 over this beauty, it looks so perfect!

Although the knee joints look plastic, i did spot some metal skeleton in the arms (gerwalk photo zoomed in at the Yamato site). So we can assume that their usual macross fault with loose arms and elbows falling off will not be present.
Also is there light piping built into the head, there seems to be a little hole at the back, but who knows. I mean come on for 25.000 YEN - today - you should expect the damned thing to transform itself!

Wait, what? Is there some DIY parts on this? Huh.
Anyway, yeah, according to AmiAmi, the MSRP is something 24'800 yen making it somewhere in the $325USD range. Thankfully as usual Amiami is also discounting it a bit. Not as much as I've seen them discount other stuff, but it's down to about $290 plus shipping. But still, it kind of explains why BBTS thinks they can get away with charging almost $400 for it. Yes, it's ridiculous, but it kind of makes sense too.

Naw those pics are still of the resin prototype while the part on the sprue looks like a production piece so I guess their showing what the finish will like on the production pieces.

I wasn't expecting to pick this up yet...but I got it for a pretty good price and couldn't pass it up.
CollectionDX has reviewed it.

Any chance of the Red/Orange color scheme coming soon? I know I should expect it but how soon and what are the chances that it will be exclusive?
