Oh man - I totally love the design schematic. This might be the first SOC model I display in its component entities (individual robot parts). Awesome. So looking forward to this one.

So what's up with Daioja? It's been pretty dead on the SOC front, I'm guessing the SRC and new DX Macross stuff has made the high end division pretty busy.

Yeah, I've been wondering this myself. We don't even know who's coming after Daioja. Which is strange for the SOC line. Usually when they break the news on the next release, they later show what's following it a few months later.

The release rate of the SOC has really come to a slow trickle. Or so it appears to me.

Perhaps Bandai is realizing that spacing out their product release would increase thier chances of sucessfully getting collectors to buy them.
Probably Bandai's way of getting the exclusive SOC collectors to consider other lines while they wait.

The release rate of the SOC has really come to a slow trickle. Or so it appears to me. True, but I'm not going to complain about it. The crappy dollar exchange rate has severely hinder my figure purchasing power... }\

The SRC is pushing the SOC line to a corner...

With the 3 Macross Frontier chogokin renewals (that i personally welcome), the SPEC XS line that's consistently active, the Armor Plus line, oh, and the SRC line too, i think next year will be slow too.
The annoying thing is that i got into collecting robots for being awesome display pieces. Not so that they look cute next to a mug of the same size. So kudos to Fewture and Yamato at the moment.

The SRC is pushing the SOC line to a corner... Frankly I think its because they are getting limited as to what robots are left to release in this line,I mean we are down to what?less than ten prospects? Not many after that, especially 70s/80s era.{just see teh list poll I created, half are obscure}So they are slowing down, and releasing slowly.Maybe anyway!Unless SOC releases more modern stuff, which Ill pass on.They could always do a Sentai line,Goggle V, etc.then they'd have even another 10 or so.Id LOVE that.

Oh I think there's still a ton of Super Robots left to make, even from the 70's like Jeeg, Daikengo, Danguard, Ginguiser, Machine Blaster, Gakeen, etc. Sure some have been made by other companies but nothing beats a SOC version. As for the 80's there's even MORE Super Robots that fans want and haven't even been touched by Bandai or any company. So it's not from the lack of subject matter but a re-positioning of the SOC line. With the SRC line you basically have the lower end of the SOC price scale covered now which means you focus on the higher priced items which also tend to be much more complicated thus requiring more time to engineer. I'm thinking Bandai is going for a quarterly release with SOC's and filling in the empty time slots with the SRC line. Daioja is still coming and the SOC Facebook page stated their still working on it so it's not cancelled.

It would be nice if they did ALL the super sentai robots as SOC's. Although SRC's, DX's and Miniplas are good forms, nothing beats having a hefty die-cast SOC toy is (in my opinion) in your hands
