Image Anime gets my preorder, since I can drive in person to pickup, no shipping cost, and make cash deal, haha. $270 seems ok deal in NYC, huh? After Godsigma, this is only the second new toy I've ever preordered in my life! www.imageanime.com/gxdap.html@countbrocken, yessir! Only a couple hrs drive up da rivah, haha. Someday, we'll have to get together near Albany/Troy with Tony (magengar) and other upstate NooYawkers for geek speak coffee hour!

Is the best deal right now at Ami-Ami @ $215 + shipping (plus no month/s of waiting when it's released)?

Yeah, but since Amiami only charges you when the item becomes available, there is no guarantee that the price will still be $215. The Yen/Dollar exchange rate may rise or drop a lot by then. Also, I'm gonna guess shipping will run around $40 to $50 for such a large SOC. That makes it pretty comparable to BBTS if you think about it - minus the extra.waiting time of course...

Betatoys.com has it at a locked down price of $250 with free shipping if you pre-order. You need to pay $50 up front though.

Anyone planning on going with betatoys? Anyone have any experience dealing with them?

Although this is my first time preordering from betatoys, I have bought 4 SOCs from their website and through Amazon marketplace before without any problems. No tax is also a big plus for me since they're in NY and I'm in CA. The owner Andy replied to my emails whenever I had a question or concern. Hope this helps.

Hey man, I went to school in upstate NY. Y'all talking like you are all close together. That part of the state is VAST!! It ain't that easy to all get together. And man, that drive is boring and riddled with cops. (OK, maybe I'm just jealous I no longer am in the area. And then again, Jonathan makes the trip to Florida for get-togethers, so this is nothing to him!!) ;D Damn, too bad the Daiojya is outside my price limit. Looks fantastic. And I am most curious about how they will spell it on the box - I've seen so many variations of the name. lol

Anyone planning on going with betatoys? Anyone have any experience dealing with them? Ive dealt with them a couple of times, got my Voltron Masterpiece from them when it was released a few years back. No problems whatsoever.

Betatoys is pretty good. Andy is excellent to deal with. He used to give R-J members an 8% discount, but I don't know if he does that anymore. One thing to keep in mind is that BBTS used to match prices of USA competitors. Again, I don't know if they still do, but it would not hurt to shoot them an email and ask...

I second what themazingerz said. I have dealt several times with Andy and he was great. I do not know about the RJ discount anymore as they did a restructuring not long ago, but I was thinking if I order thing I would do it through Betatoys.

donz...who did you pre-order from? I've po'd it from a local online toy shop in my country (malaysia).. Its easier that way so i dont have to deal with the shipping cost, etc.. It cost about MYR800= USD260.. i guess they'd included all the cost for it ;D
