I missed the good old days when 1 US dollar was the equivalent of 110 Japanese Yen. And with inflation growing at its current rate, I am making more and more serious decisions as to what I really want to add into my collection. This is why I opted to get a Daioja and decided not to get the MP Vehicle Voltron. So in the long run, I have some room left for real world expenses (and possible future emergencies) while keeping a tight control on my addiction, err I mean hobby.  Besides, this is kind of working for me because I get what I really want while being able to pay credit card debts and stuff.  |

Dont skip on the voltron as it is HK conversion to US, it's not as bad as JP to US.

I will wait for a review first. Then, I will decide if I will skip it all together or shop around. But as for now I am skipping its initial release... |

hum... those pictures really made me glad not to jump in and buy this in pre-order. The sheer lack of details comparing to the other chogokins are mind bothering. it looks like a plastic toy comparing the ither 3, OMG is this the last soul of chogokin?

I am not defending this figure, as I admit it does look plasticky.
But regarding the lack of detail, this is how it looks in the anime. Love it of hate it, it is anime accurate.
I think that this might be the last SOC for 2012, but not the last SOC of the series.

Yeah it does look a little plasticky in that picture but I just love the design plus we know there is quite a bit of metal in it. I'm just waiting for more pictures till I get mine.
As for the lack of details that's just the design, it's closer to Daitarn in design then say Godmars. Plus we know the SOC line isn't going anywhere as Bandai has already confirmed this, its just slowing down and being re-positioned.

Also if you want one or are planning on getting one don't wait long. This seems to be pretty rare and tax time is coming in Japan so if you know about how the Japanese government penalizes companies with extra stock you will understand why it might be hard to get one later or wait for a re-issue.

hum...how does the "tax" thing works? so I should not wait and get it now? since amiami is out of stock where else can i get one that is relatively "cheap"?
since so many of you like this, i may have to dive in as I trust some of you on toys judgement.

Its like a incentive plan to make companies leaner and produce to demand and not have overstocks of items which is a waste of resources and space. But I'm no expert though, I should be getting mine next week plus members like Gold will have reviews soon so you can expect honest views on the toy. As to where to buy from I don't know who's the cheapest now. All the ones I've seen have been well over $200.

Please,with Gattai as advanced as this in an SOC it's a no brainer.The sheer design element of the transformation and it being a Pre-1983 Robot sold me in a heartbeat.

im hoping they have a repaint on this guy and put some metallic to make the colors pop more... Thats really all it needs to address the plastic look...
