I really don't feel compelled to get this SOC. However, if it ever shows up for $130 USD I will definitely get one. ;D

This guy is actually quite an engineering marvel and once assembled one of the most impressive bots on my shelf, possibly due to the chrome chest emblem and weapons and the included huge back drop. I'm sorry to see this on clearance. For one, I thought Bandai did a great job on it, and also that fact that it doesn't bode well for the SOC line. We still don't know whether a GX-62 is getting released not to mention what it is. The biggest thing about Daioja that may be deterring sales is that it's a relatively obscure character that isn't the most photogenic. Having said that,I haven't regretted paying what I paid from amiami.

Wasn't there some talk that GX-62 was going to be Tryder G7 or was that debunked?

I am still on the fence with this one. He is huge and Chachipower made me want one so badly.

That would be a cool release. Then again I would completely freak out if they bust out with an Escaflowne SOC. Wasn't that rumoured? If Bandai really wants to make some $ they would announce a Gurren Lagann SOC and watch people come running with wallets open.

Thanks, Gold. I guess that is why I did not find more supporting information for the release than that "teaser" photo. Too bad I would have bought it. ;D Wasn't there some talk that GX-62 was going to be Tryder G7 or was that debunked? ;D Debunked, there was a fan made teaser but it was totally a hoax. Bandai can also make insane money if they released an SOC Mazinkaiser, Shin Getter, or Dangaioh. These are very sought after figures and their fan base is HUGE!!! But I am still hoping for an SOC SRX combiner next...! ;D }D

Honestly, I don't care about combiners as much as I rarely pose them uncombined. LOL Seriously. Any of these 3 would be amazing.

My cousins just got one for me at ComicCon. I can't wait to put it together. Is this the last SOC?

Bandai hasn't revealed any more info on upcoming SOCs aside from the DX Maz, guess we'll know by the next wonderfest in the last Quarter 2012.

As I mentioned a number of times, I would welcome the end of the SOC line. Aside from not having room in my two Ikea shelves, I have all of the robots from my childhood (sans Balatak). But I guess the most important reason why I want the end of the series is that I want to be able to say that I have them all. Having a sense of completion would give me a lot of satisfaction. In many ways, I don't want to end up having shelves after shelves of robots (I love containing my collection in two shelves). I want to be able to appreciate what I have and I don't want to constantly want to get more (though I know that the process of acquiring one is more than half of the reason why we are so into our obsession). Knowing me, I will not completely stop--despite having all of the color SOCs from GX-01 to 61. Though I am a purist (I only collect SOCs), I have started to get all of the SPECs and other offshots (BPXs, etc....). I plan to get all of the limited edition SPECs and the other rare Maz Angels that I am missing (I have two of them). I also would love to get the Combattler base. With this in mind, I will technically not cease acquiring SOC stuff, I just will not feel the pressure to get the latest ones. Thanks for listening, you guys are the only ones I can vent to. My family and friends just think I am nuts

I don't know, getting my favotite characters' latest and greatest is a big part of collecting for me. I think that I rather get rid of the other figures I'm not that fond of to make room for the new and improved of the ones I really like. That's why I don't do vintage figures. I rather have the more modern renditions as long as they are better (unlike what happened with the Shin Mazinger versus classic Mazinger Z). }D

TheMazingerZ you are like me. The Vintage figures are not what I go after either. Though, I will disagree with you. I like the Shin Mazinger. Hahaha.
Oh and sorry MazFan. I love getting new figures. The industry is getting better at better making more awesome. I already spread my collection between work and home.

I'm cool with the SOC line ending once Bandai gives us Shin Getter, Mazinkaiser (although I do love the MF one), and some more SRW OG stuff (at least SRX!).

I've been to fellow robot collectors' homes that have rooms after rooms of their collection. Though I am impressed by that, I don't want it for myself. Despite having a very expensive SOC habbit, I am quite a practical person. I like having limits and a sense of control when it comes to my hobbies. I appreciate the fact that my collection doesn't really cut into my income. I mostly get my SOCs as birthday and Christmas gifts from my spouse. And so, in many ways, my collection is a guilt-free habbit. As I mentioned, my collecting will not technically end. There are a number of rare SOCs out there that I still need to get. I am excited for that hunt!!!

mazfan I think the thing to do is have a focus on your collection. So, what is yours? Sounds like it is high-end Mazinger family? SOC only?

Hi ActionAwesome... I've been collecting just the SOC line sine 2000. I've only strayed once when I added the DX-CHOGOKIN-GE-01DX-AQUARION-DIECAST-AQUARION-FORCED-ATTACT-TYPE-NEW. I am super focused and I don't plan to stray away from the SOC line (I just collect the color versions and I plan to acquire all of the rare ones).
