I got my Daioja today (picked up a used one fairly cheap). It's pretty damn impressive how the combined form in no way resembles 3 individual robots!
Whether it was QC or misuse by the previous owner i'm not sure, but his right shoulder ratchet is too loose to hold the arm up (ie out in front of him - sideways is fine). It doesn't look like i can fix it (probably a weak spring) but was just wondering if anyone had that issue and managed to improve it somehow?
It's not enough to dampen my enjoyment though thankfully!

Shoulder ratchet or the elbow? I believe it is just a friction fit and sagging with wear. I hear a lot of comments about the extra pieces popping off. That's true, but they don't have to be added.

It's the shoulder, definitely a ratchet - the first piece that extends off of the diecast bar that comes out the side of Daioja's chest.

Just pulled the trigger on Daioja from Amazon for $177 shipped. For the longest time it kept hovering at the $230 range. I figured I won't be able to snag it at this price anytime soon if ever again.

Re the 'arms robot'. When in individual bot mode can anybody use the leg spacer and actually manage to push the metal bars up into the torso fully to seat the head correctly? Unless a pretty solid push is needed I'm not sure I'm even going to try, I'm not sure its even needed however.
Daioja could be my favourite hobby purchase last year...just need a godmars reissue now...if ever.

If any of you have watched the Saikyo Robo Daioja anime, then this performance will pump you up! Daioja's opening intro theme song is one of my favorites.
For those unfamiliar with the Daioja intro...

Thanks.. but what's a (good) price or deal for Daioja atm? 200 or below is reasonable. i would shoot for 175. he comes with a ton of cool accessories but hes kinda brickish in combined mode with some really fiddly leg armor parts. i like him, very cool to look at but hes kinda meh and frustrating to play with.

I think low $200's is doable.
I've seldom seen it under $200 (the anomaly being Amazon in 2014 for a short time and perhaps the occasional Ebay seller).
When I bought my first one when it first came out I paid a little over $200.

I've been searching in the last couple of days, and all what I found is just between $235, $260 or more. I'll keep looking and Thanks everyone.
