But when it first came out it was at $250 shipped. That's what I got mine for way back.

I've been searching in the last couple of days, and all what I found is just between $235, $260 or more. I'll keep looking and Thanks everyone. If box quality is not a concern, check the Amazon damaged/open box deals. I just got Daioja that was for -$200. The outer box was worn and tearing. But the contents were new.

While Daioja is not my favorite SOC (he is a little too much a "display only" piece as the extra armor parts have a tendancy to detach in movement) he is still one that I really love. Gorgeous on the shelf with distinct eye catching colors. A really fun transformation. Just a nice piece. Especially paired on the shelf with Daitarn 3.

I did some research before I decide and buy it. I think he will be nice next to Daitarn, Trider and Zambot.. one of the reasons I like the GX-61 is the way he transform, the colors and the size. I don't play with my toys that much.. I just move them time to time.

Gorgeous Kuma Style! I always love the colors on this guy. It took awhile before I realized that the color scheme was an homage to Astroganger

Thank you man and I absolutely agree on the colors of this guy. The general aesthetic on this guy just ticks every box for me but I really hate that the combined mode is so just thrown together.

Kuma, you should do a photo shoot of the individual robots that make up the Daioja. The truly remarkable aspect of this toy (imho) is how awesome the individual robots worked out and how well Bandai captured those characters features while maintaining their ability to gattai - particularly Cobalter. I don’t know why, but I have developed a particular appreciation for the Japanese representation of the affable ‘fat guy’ in the group, from Boss Borot on up. Designer’s choice for vague blue color combo undisputed, this robot is an undeniable feat of engineering. Word.

Honestly, I did a review a long time ago, but it's one of those ones that I need to redo because I really had no f**king idea of what I was doing with a camera at the time compared to now. I was honestly just cleaning off my shelf, pulled it out, and said to myself, "why not take a quick pic?" One day when I get caught up I'm going to go through all of these older purchases and start giving them much more fitting reviews and galleries per current standard. As-is though, I frankly don't have the time to get to the nitty gritty, re-exploring and relearning these atm. It'll happen, though.

I just bought this again after selling it a few years ago. It is a shame how sh*tty the combined mode is. Could really use the voltron treatment.

Yeah, but the actual combination is posibly the coolest transformation SOC has yet put out. I love that terrifying moment where you tear the blue robot in half top to bottom.

Not going to lie, I think Gunbuster is above and beyond the most neat transformation but Daioja isn't bad.
