do you mean the sic version mecha? Honestly I feel sic and sh are in completely different categories. Sic for detail, style, and size sh for playbility and poseability. You will definitely get more articulation out of the shf figures but you wont have the awesome detail found in sic..... so its all about what your going for...... or just have both like I will of zero......... oh and not to forget that a lot of the sic garo figures sell for big money........ so its up to you

Picked Up the new Makaikado Garo and Silver from the post office today. So very happy with the figures. They're similar in size to SIC. some of the swords have metal. Nice. Glad I got them.

Picked Up the new Makaikado kiba today. I haven't had a chance to open it. Overall it looks great. I've thought about getting jakku and the Horses and all but prices ... Well now that I have Garo, Silver, and Kiba. I may stop I don't know..
02/01/2012 Opened the box. Over a great looking figure. 2 things I dont like - The weapons aren't diecast and the shoulders have limited movement. Because of the design of the armor the shoulder cant do a 360 turn. Anyway all three figures look great together.

IF they ever make a Blind Box series of Garo, like the Kamen Rider ones, please someone alert me. I like how those were made.

def getting that blue guy.... but can anyone tell me are these revamped versions of the orginal figs released by bandai......... i got garo and he looks awfully close to the sic-ish original....... I have the orginal garo (thanks to recca heh) but hes in storage and to lazy to go digging for him to find out but it appears to be..... if this is the case I wont bother to get the guys I have again but if they are vastly improved over the first run of these..... i may re buy them..... but the orignals went for like double to tripple the price of these

That's exactly how I understand them to be at least. The sculpts are still by SIC sculptor Takayuki Takeya. However, the Makai Kadou line has overall improved movement and articulation while still keeping the same scale/size as the old Equip & Prop line from Bandai. Also included are new accessories and the omission of character parts swapping gimmick from E&P. I'm sort of on the fence too about recollecting these, but it would be nice to have a more mobile Garo fig. Here's a thorough review from the blog Taste. taste.image.coocan.jp/hobby111125.htm

Thanks for that and good to know. I bought garo on a whim as it was on sale as well so maybe I skip the rest and just concentrate on those I dont have like the blue guy.

Makai Kado - Golden Knight Garo・Sho (Ryuuga) tendoutoys.blogspot.hk/2013/07/tamashii-makai-kado-golden-knight.htmlThis one is titled Golden Knight Garo・Sho... not sure what the Sho means, but in Japanese it means soar or fly. So it can either be his form when he turns gold while resonating with the Madou Horror's or his final golden form. This one does not come with a cape! Scheduled to be release in January 2014! A Tamashii Website Exclusive item this is! -
