He's going to be anime accurate!!! Seibertron's GetterDragun posted this info, as it was found on Fan2Fan.jp Not just a reissue!! This one will sport the color from the movie. Galvatron now has show accurate purple on his body. But wait, there's more!... -Face has been remolded to look more menacing. -Comes with die-cast Matrix attached to a chain just like in the Movie!! -New Electronic sound: 7 sounds: 5 voices (Japanese) and 2 sounds. Check out the main article, as well as a comparison pic between the original, and a photoshopped pic of what the reissue should look like. www.seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=5509

Cool, with all these new re-issues it has been so hard not to start collecting Transformers again (why won't my lottery tickets help out). Also did you see the painted Skids figure, reminds me of that chick with the big ass t$ts that would run out on baseball games and kiss the pitcher.

he looks better, but everytime i want to buy him, i just can't. he is trully the coolest character in the movie, but the action figure looks like R2-D2 with a gun.

I've never liked the Galvatron toy very much. I think the new colors are indeed an improvement though. Anyway, if they release it as a "numbered" reissue I'll have to buy it for sure.

if they release a MASTERPIECE Galvatron,...i am totally there. if they could create one that looks like the movie version in robot mode (even if it didn't transform) i would love it! i have the Cybertron PVC figure that doesn't move much, but is like a mini statue of him, and he looks great.

I don't think it would be difficult to make a fully transformable, totally anime accurate toy for Galvatron. Especially since his alt mode is completely fictitious. Maybe they'll make it some day.

Why couldn't they make a MP of Galvatron? They seriously can't think a purple and grey laser gun with an orange barrel will confuse cops into shooting little Jimmy.

I hated the Galvatron toy as a kid and now that I look at the photos of him, I hate him now. R2-D2, indeed! Good call, Falconhood! He kinda does look like a wastebasket, doesn't he?
A truly anime-accurate resculpt would be difficult to pull off since this was around the time when Transformers started to look more... um, "curvy?" and sporting more organic designs... they tended to look less machanical whereas the toys continued to be blockier and blockier. Would be cool to see a Masterpiece Galvatron tho.
Hell - he would even have to transform into a gun (which is something I don't recall seeing in the cartoon, actually)... just get him into that frickin' huge mobile cannon would be plenty cool!

They really should do more with the anime design, like a Robot Masters, Alternators, and/ or hybrid incarnation. Too beautiful a design to waste on such a crummy toy. Energon Galvatron came close to satisfying this need, but it wasn't close enough.
