I've been thinking of checking out ZOE since people have been talking about it a lot with the Revoltech release. I've played a bit of the game thanks to the old demo from way back when and I've seen some of the anime. This sounds like a great opportunity to give the series a good chance.

Peace Walker HD on PS3 is great news. No Metal Gear Solid (1) isn't so great, though.
Their Silent Hill collection is kind of underwhelming too, with only SH 2 and 3 in the pack.

I forgot there was a ZOE demo from back in the day. Can't remember what game that came with though...
Never really played any of the SH games, but I hear they should not be missed. Even though Konami are shaving off the first game of the series, still might be another pick up!
Great news on MGSPW.

A few months ago I started playing ZOE. I got busy and didn't finish but the game does not seem as deep as I like. I also have the second one but I won't mess with it till I have time to beat the first one. I am hoping the third one gets quite the overhaul.

I never finished ZOE 2 ... I got to a level where you have to blow up a bunch of warships at point blank range and after dying about 30 times I turned it off and never went back.
Maybe I'll play it again for the spectacle of seeing it in HD.
The MGS collections sound cool - without MGS1 making a showing though, I'd mainly be in it for MGS3 and taking a stab at peace walker.

ZOE 2 is harder than the first, but also deeper and (IMO) more rewarding. The first ZOE felt almost like a tech demo to me. I never finished the tactics-RPG one on the GBA, but it seemed pretty alright (though prone to technobabble and excessive jargon) for as far as I got.
I'm a little torn on these releases. On one hand I really like all the games and this is probably the best chance we'll get to prove that ZOE 3 is financially viable, but on the opposite I already own all of them but Peace Walker (and that's $10 on Amazon).
TBH, I don't really know how these HD dealios work. Do they just drop higher res assets into the existing game, or are these ground up rebuilds?

With most HD remakes it's the former. Uprezzed graphics processing but with the same original textures in most cases.
