Hey All.
The other day I was repairing a Voltron III ( Golion D ). One of the many issues was a broken neck. I see broken necks all over eBay also, it seems to be a real weak point of the design.
Since One of my other hobbies is playing with Casting Resins. I got to thinking about casting a new part to repair my Golion D. So I took apart one of my other black lions to get a good neck piece.
Next I made a mold of the good piece.
Then after casting a new one and cleaning up all the flash. It looked like this:
Trying to perfect the casting I made a few more:
Here is where I put the head back together using one of the new neck pieces:
And lastly here is the black lion all back together:
Over all they turned out pretty good. I have enough pieces to repair 4 more Voltrons. Wife says I should put it on eBay. What do you guys think is there any market for a new neck piece to repair our beloved Voltron III / Golions?
