So I bought the Red Box Dairugger XV. I'm now thinking I overpaid. Can anyone give me a general price range on this one?

dammit, I was gonna bid on that! Multiply the starting price by two. It's supposed to be around that area, maybe a little more if it's truly pristine.

Well, I guess I was dumb enough to pay. I'm gonna go hang myself right now.

Don't worry, in that condition it's rare enough. And I believe it will be worth what you paid in the very near future, and that box is so luxurious. Just make sure it is pristine mint, and if it's not then raise an issue with the seller. Here another one for you.

That makes me feel a bit better. If it isn't as minty as he says it is then I will definitely raise an issue. I'll post pics so you guys can help me figure it out. It sucks cuz I was going for the 15 incher and just didn't do enough research.

Yeah, that's a common problem for new collectors. They get anxious and buy something without doing the proper research or finding enough info online. Feel free to contact me privately if you ever have a question on a particular item. I'm sure there are others here that can also help out in this manner.

Yeah, I'll take this as a lesson learned and at least it wasn't a truly massive amount of money that was lost. I'll definitely be making sure it's a solid and immaculate piece though. I'll probably be looking to trade it for a piece I'm more inclined to want so hopefully a collector here who is need of it can get it and I can get something I want as well.

So, I got it today. I thin I have a pretty good case to return it as he toy has quite a bit of wear to it and the item description listed it as "NEVER" played with. The pictures also failed to point out some major issues with the chrome parts, especially the sword which looks like sh*t.

Return it without a doubt. The problem with some ebay sellers is that some of them seem to B.S. about the condition of collectibles, and to top it off they always say they know nothing about the item, but they always seem to know what price to start the bidding at. I say don't even bother going for a partial refund if they offer it, just ask for a full refund and send them plenty of close up pics if needed. And remember to always pay your paypal transactions through credit card no matter how small the purchase.

I sell quite a lot on eBay and their protection plan leaves little to the imagination when it comes to how much the seller gets what they want opposed to the buyer. They left themselves little room for error in their description.

I know how you feel moop. This happened to me too when I buy things from Ebay. You should file a complaint to Ebay about these dishonest sellers & leave a negative feedback for them. That is why I don't buy from Ebay anymore.

I don't think they are quite dishonest yet, just a little bit lazy in their description. I've contacted them about a returning it for a refund and have yet to hear back. I'll see how they respond and react and then decide how dishonest they are.
