I wasn't sure if I was gonna get this but the more I see the better I like it, besides you can never have to many Primes.

wow I was wondering what they did with Prime's forearm. Thats a pretty cool gimmick. I'm going to have to think about this one. Oh wait it is diecast... but how much??? oh I'm almost sold on this one.

Could someone be so kind as to enlighten me regarding this "Hybrid Style" toy line? How is it different from the Masterpiece and RobotMaster lines?

Think Master-Piece construction (die-cast metal and detailed paint apps). But in the size of one of those tiny Robot Masters. So far there's only been one HBS, a Galaxy Convoy.

Does anyone know if HBS Galaxy Convoy was diecast? I thought he was all plastic. I'd like to know to get an idea whether this convoy/prime will be diecast.. I still want one, but zinc will be icing on what already seems to be a promising toy.
BTW, anyone else notice the trend of smaller is better in Japan? First was the WST, then with Gundam last year and with posable Gashapon mechs, Xabungle in the SOC line, and now with TF HBS?

As far as I can remember the diecast content is only on the lower legs and shoulders.

this figure looks so cool, i am definetly picking this one up. I would love to see them release in the same style and size, new versions of the original G-1 cars useing the exact same vehicles like they did in the 1980's chris

Oh - these newest pics are SWEET!! Um? oh yeah - Galaxy Convoy's die-cast metal parts were his shoulders and lower legs. He also has some metal bits in his chest (and screws too). It's one of those "you had to see it for yourself" situations because until I got him, I was pretty unimpressed by other peoples' discriptions too.
But given the photos of the prototype we've seen of the new G1 Convoy HBS, I'm already sold on the thing... *drool*
