A bit of re-balancing, a few tweaks of the interface, oh and a smattering of new characters add up to a Nov 2011 release. shoryuken.com/2011/07/20/umvc3-all-twelve-new-characters-leaked/Talked to a friend last night and he was heated that none other than Phoenix Wright got the nod before Mega-man. To me that just says that MVC3 is going to release him as DLC or another expansion. Oh....and the title does not reflect that it takes place within Marvels "Ultimate" line of comics.

Phoenix might be enough to make me buy this.

Rocket Racoon.
Rocket Racoon!?!
Next : Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 Arcade Edition, with Howard the Duck.
Mark my words.
Actually, I don't know myself if I'm being sarcastic or not. And Rocket Racoon might turn out to be the coolest character of the bunch. Maybe not a serious competitor, in ranked online matches against top-ranking players, but with friends, for fun... you know... like a game should be.
So, yeah, bring on Howard, Capcom.

Wow that's a pretty lopsided battle no offense to the Capcom fans but either Thor or Dormammu alone could take out the whole Capcom team if written to their full potential. Still it looks like a cool video game!

He's a load of fun and can really abuse some of the larger characters with bigger hitboxes. I picked this up yesterday. Loads of fun. Frustrating at times, just because I don't have a familiarity with a lot of the game mechanics (the last fighter I played with any seriousness was Soul Calibur 2), but a blast to watch and with lots of characters to choose from.

So how much better is it compared to the recently released Marvel Vs Capcom?
I'm thinking of getting the old released as opposed to the ultimate because of the price difference.

So how much better is it compared to the recently released Marvel Vs Capcom? I'm thinking of getting the old released as opposed to the ultimate because of the price difference. No idea. Never bought it. Apparently the first release was really broken in terms of a balance - half the roster was utterly useless and a select few fighters could kill entire teams - one of the big claims of the new version is that a lot of stats and attacks were rebalanced to make more fighters viable. Online play was also apparently pretty flawed with a lot of lag and no way to spectate matches if you joined a lobby with multiple people fighting. With my one evening playing the game so far, half of the fun was watching the other people I was playing with duking it out. Also, the previous version doesn't have a raccoon with rocket skates or Phoenix Wright, so...

I picked this up this morning. Have not had a chance to play, but I'll be tossing this one into the PS3 this weekend.
Really itching to try Strider and Strange.

Got this over the weekend...didn't really enjoy it as much as I did Super Street Fighter IV, there's just too much going on......too busy, too flamboyant, kind of having buyer's remorse wishing I bought Rayman Origins instead but my kid likes it so.....
Maybe I'm just old and dated.
I did pick up another game over the weekend Gundam: Dynasty Warrior 3, This I enjoyed. its the best looking game out of all the Gundam Dynasties a real eye-candy for Gundam fans such as myself.

Rayman Origins looks amazing, but Ubisoft games go down in price so soon and fast that I've just stopped buying them on day one. I wait until they drop to $30 at most, which usually isn't a long wait. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rayman go on sale at $29.99 on Boxing Day.
